  • Has been $1.99 before. From the comments it seems it somewhat works but ultimately is landfill.

    • After going through three in a row, I have come to the conclusion that most cheap laptop coolers are just landfill.

I have had the DeepCool N80 for four years strong and are pretty happy with the performance and low noise. It was either that or one of the larger Cooler Master models.

The worst one was a aluminium frame model off Amazon that could be converted to a laptop stand. Very solid however the fans were the anti-Noctuas, too noisy to run. Using a pencil or some other stationary to raise the rear of the laptop would have just been as effective.

For those looking for a laptop cooler pad recommend getting one from a reputable brand and avoid those with several or small fans (they have higher RPM and will generally be noisier).

Yep, I can't believe I ended up becoming a convert but buying half decent quality laptop coolers eg Cooler Master models has proven to be a lot better value given they last. I found they helped improve my ergonomics significantly too with the angling up.

Good for adding ventilated seats into your base model Camry. Place underneath your taxi beads and good to go

  • Works well if you happen to use your laptop on your lap, including 17". The USB powered ventilation fan is not really necessary as there is a depression in the tray for air circulation from the laptop's in-built fan.

powering a fan constantly via USB has been known to kill USB ports on laptops….just saying, after seeing a few in my IT life personally and plenty of online evidence

its usually enough to simply elevate the laptop and get air underneath, if its hot, generally youre going to be warm to so point a room fan at yourself and the laptop, and elevate the laptop with a passive stand - fixed.
