When I posted the deal Meta still had the $439.99 price on their website. So that's why I posted Amazon AU otherwise I would have put both on title.
@Scrooge McDeal: Sure that makes sense. Thanks for the chronology.
But, it does look like Amazon au is matching meta’s new price as Amazon is well known for matching prices.
@Eeples: I posted that deal 5 minutes before I start work so I might be wrong. I was in a rush to be honest.
Just got mine, was so excited to try it, but glasses are too wide. GG
You can get magnetic prescription lenses made to order to suit your quest on aliexpress. there are other more brand name options like vroptician but I'm very happy with my aliexpress ones and they were cheap.
not a fast solution but will be helpful longterm. much more comfortable than glasses and you dont have to worry about scratching the quest lenses with your glasses frames.
Yeah I definitely second this. I got some from Amazon for like maybe $25 each I think and they do the job fine.
Stay on well enough with the magnets even doing room scale games.
What would be the best alternative cable to get with this so I can plug it into my PC? Good Quality/ Price Ratio?
does this (and quest 2) attach to gaming PC? I just want to play half life Alyx
Yep. Need the link cable I believe
You can with or without a cable. Airlink or Virtual Desktop.
I'm on Linux and ALVR works awesome, don't need a cable at all.
believe a good quality USB 3 or c cable would do, as long as not charging cable
I grabbed this.
Play HL:Alyx and other PC games no issue.

can do it wirelessly and it works great, dont wasste time/money with a cable
Yeah, didnt expect the latency to be so good.
You just wirelessly via Airlink or Virtual Desktop.
i use virtual desktop but airlink works just fine too
Wow. I’ve always been interested in VR as a geek growing up and this finally made my tightarse self make a purchase. Meta’s done an incredible job on it.
Only issue is that I have 1 glitchy lens that flickers and goes insane sporadically so am returning it and have ordered a new unit. Is this a common issue or just luck of the draw?
But this is available to purchase from meta website for $359.99, so how is this a deal when purchased from Amazon au ?
