  • ATL was $499 couple days ago on Amazon.

    • ATL was quite a bit lower than that after cashback.

That deal never happened, they pulled it and cancelled the orders

I got a better deal. Bought from everyday market - 30% cashback on the big W deal which was $549. The cashback has tracked and they didn't cancel my order - I received the headset. Why would they cancel it?

@deanaus: OK, guess I was wrong. I saw a few comments saying they cancelled the orders. Maybe it just went out of stock fast. I'm salty because I missed it.

          • @deanaus: Amazing deal buddy. I purchased it full price from TGG when it was released - never felt once that it was justified for that price

  • Do these actually run well on an original PS5?

A few years back I thought you needed hefty PC with great GPUs to run VR smoothly or have they advanced this quickly and I’m out of touch?

    • +2

They've advanced quickly, quest 3 needs no computer at all and can play some visually great games with no problem.

Ps5 more than capable of driving this well. Don't forget the original psvr was run off a PS4 and the GPU in a ps5 is great even if not as great as the ps5 pro.

      • Yeah I must be thinking of VR from like 2010 or something then - which still feels like 3 years ago, not 14. Insanity.

      • I want a quest 3 that is not standalone and become cheaper as result.

        • Na, you don't, once you go quest 3 everything else seems like poop. The ability to just walk around your house with it and just immediately vr in any room you like & wirelessly do pcvr link up aswell its extremely versatile. Psvr2 is good if you're already in the PS ecosystem but even then, it's not that much more expensive to go the q3 and I would personally say it's worth every cent (especially at ozbargain deal prices).

          • @Beetleeater: I mean, they can make a cheaper version without the gaming graphic processor, i will mostly connect it to pc only fir gaming.
