I have the same problem too 😅

    • Same as macbook

Docking station with dedicated power button?

    • poweron via mouse/keyboard/wake on lan packet from mobile

      • how to poweron via keyboard? i tried some lan packet app but they didnt work, weird. maybe the laptop need to be in sleep mode not off? laptop connected to network via wifi not cable

    • Mmm yeah I have that issue. I have them in, well, tent mode I guess you would call it. Enough that I can reach in to the power button. With a stand I would just open it right up and stand it up in the stand.

    • My laptop is always on, why shutdown?

Hmm hope that it last longer?

        • Thnikpads are good for 10 years continuous running time.

      • Not everyone owns solar panels?

    • Same here with my personal laptop and my work ones too.

Only time this wasn't an issue was when I had a Yoga convertible where the power button was on the side… I miss this :(

      • No solution?

        • Get good at laptop gymnastics especially if you put the stand behind your monitors in an awkward spot.

  • i'm using a greja napkin holder from ikea, when it was available.
and use mouse or keyboard to wake up my macbook pro.

  • I gotta say - I got one of these (slightly different brand - but exact same concept, virtually identical product).

    … it's a bit… crap.

I would not get another, and I'm not using mine.

Maybe try using it as a napkin holder!

I like my Hagibis. I like that it clamps with the weight of the laptop so there isn't any effort.

  • isn't it bad fully closing the lid while the laptop is running. The heat from the keyboard could ruin the screen?

    • I guess it depends on the laptop thermals and keyboard/screen design? I pair my stand with an aging Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 gaming laptop that gets pretty warm even from website browsing but never had an issue.
