$50 Bonus for Depositing Salary (Minimum $1000/Month) over Two Months into Orange Everyday Account @ ING (Activation Required)

230

Received the following email from ING today (probably targeted)

Simply have your pay of at least $1,000 a month deposited into your Orange Everyday account for two consecutive months and activate your offer before 31 May 2024.

And we'll pop $50 cash into your Orange Everyday account. How good does that sound?

I'm not super keen on having to contact my employer to switch it over. I have no idea how this is checked vs any transfer from an external account.

T&Cs states:

To be eligible to receive the $50 offer, you must receive your salary payments totalling at least $1,000 a month into your Orange Everyday account from an external account for two consecutive calendar months and opt in via the link provided between the offer dates as specified in the email you received from us.

How would they know if its salary or not. Just get your partner/family member/external-account to transfer you 1k twice over 2 months. Then you pay them back.

    • They know, I get a text message every time my pay is in, but not for any other monies coming in. It may be tricky if your employer deposits money into your account from a personal account, etc,

I got the same offer few months ago. Transferred from my own external account to ING, no issue, still got the bonus.

    • Banks should be able to read the transaction code coming from the Direct Entry payment

Most likely a rerun of this offer.
Read the comments, including mine confirming any external tfr is fine, then tfr out right away.

Is that the link above in the post? Because that just takes me to a page "You've activated your offer!" even though I wasn't logged into my ING account, so I'm guessing that's just the main landing page after you have opted in?

    • Yep, the link you receive in the email they sent you contains a special code unique to you. Clicking on the link in the post won't do anything for you, it's just informational.

  • Received this today too, guess I need to update pay details for 2 months.

Have been with them for more than 9 years. No offers for me any more.

  • Mad invite

  • Does this work if you’re paying a bill under someone else’s name?
