I have never received the promised bonus since I opened the account.

    • Same, I didn't receive the bonus for opening the account because the referral link from random Ozb had expired without me knowing about it previously. So, the referral link doesn't last all year long.

If you got the email offer, this is your chance the get the bank bonus.

This ING email offer deal is different than new account bonus. Read my experience here:

  • Very sensitive fraud detection with ING. You’ll be making some phone calls to support

    • Source: NON-ING account.

    • Maybe you didn't click the link in email offer to activate the offer in the past. Or you haven't tried this.

    • I've used a referral code to refer my mum and it's now been over a week of "pending" to simply open an everyday bank account. We're not even asking for a credit card however when we signed up they wanted my retired mum to prove her source of her savings.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

The way it reads, makes it sound like you have to have your salary directly deposited into the ING account. Unless I'm reading it wrong, but the terms and conditions underneath make it sound like transferring money just doesn't net you the 100 bucks

    • I’m not sure how much more I can guide you, i clearly said “Proven”.
Go read those previous threads if you don’t believe me.

      • I did it a couple of years ago myself, wording just changed since then . Not doubting it won't be the same again, just they could turn around and say yeah na because of what they wrote in the Ts and Cs

    • Do you think its possible for ING to distinguish the 2?

      • I've transferred the money from another bank in the past year and got the bonus both times.

      • I don't care whether ING can distinguish between the 2. I got the bonus last October from previous email offer too.

        • Doesn't need to be proven. My point was there's absolutely no way for them to know since salary is obviously just another transfer

  • I got $50 for my newish account opened for the Menulog deal last year. Worth a try.

It’s only depositing the 1k that triggers it right? Don’t have to do the extra stuff like the 5 card purchases?

  • Would the $100 bonus technically be taxable income you think?

      No.

This is legit, I got similar offer multiple times with them and they always pay, the description usually is "miscellaneous credit"
You just need to transfer from a non ING account, they won't be able to tell the difference
Just got the 150 this week from the prev promotion

    • what was the previous promo that gave you $150?

      • Exactly the same requirement as this one, deposit $1k for 2 consecutive months

  • Thanks for confirming. I got the offer and activated and was waiting for it to come up on Ozbargain to see if I could just transfer and from my CBA account and then move it back. Looks like it will work. Cheers

    • how do you know it works (in terms of the transfer you did is valid for the $1000 promo)?

does it say anything after you transfer the money to ING?

      • Nothing will be inidicated to you that you’re eligible. So long as you tfr from NON-ING account, in 2 consecutive calendar months, they’ll pay up usually in the following month. Could be faster if you’re lucky.

        • oic.. thanks

is $100 the highest offer so far?

Someone above mention $150 but not sure if that is similar deal to this one…

          • @pinkybrain: previous offer just before this one was $150, i guess that’s the highest so far.
I had $50 and $100 last time too. You can check from ozb history

            • @noelhoi:

I had $50 and $100 last time too.

wait so you manage to get both $50 and $100 deals by doing same transfer like this one?

I thought this type of Depositing Salary offer was allowed only one per customer and not able to repeat again

              • @pinkybrain: Correct, As i said please check the ozb history, almost every single one from last year’s similar offer like this i was targeted. Confirm works everytime.
Idk how you got the notion that it’s only one per customer for life….

                • @noelhoi:

Idk how you got the notion that it’s only one per customer for life

Because that's how these type of promos usually work..

There's no real benefit for them since people could just do 2 transfers as required from any bank, get the bonus money, withdrawal the transfer amount and never do it again (unless there is another promo)

And they are losing $100 per person or whatever amount each time..

What do they actually gain from this type of promos?

With refer a friend promo, at least they gain a new customer etc.

                • @noelhoi:

                  Confirm works everytime.

With the previous transfers that you did to get all those other promos bonuses…
did you use the same account to do the transfer or from a new account that INGdirect does not know about?

does the transfer is still valid if you payID or it needs to be done via the old transfer method?

                  • @pinkybrain: Should have been from the same source since i havent changed main bank within 2024. Doesnt matter if PayID or not.
Either way, just tfr in, and out instantly if you have no use for daily transaction with ING. If you get paid you win, if you don’t, nothing to lose? Why should you worry about what’s the benefit for them, as long as you are benefiting from it? Take the opportunity while it lasts.

I have tried this promotion previously it used to be $75 and can say ING have always honoured the bonus. I have always transferred via my existing bank account to ING account.

I also did referral and got lot of friends to open ING account as well, always paid

  • I never receive these types of deals. Someone asked if I have allowed them to send marketing deals like this or stopped it. I can't for the life of me find in my account where I can allow them to send me things like this or where it might be blocked…..any help where I find it in my account info?

    • Have you checked your email? Search ING for emails from ING.

      • what I am asking is where in the account details (either website or app) can you see if you should get marketing material sent via email or sms…..I don't get emails except for changes to the account….i.e. rates, terms, or deposits or withdrawals….that is all

    • I never get these offers either

    Thanks OP 😀

I got the email too yesterday. Remember guys to click ACTIVATE YOUR OFFER in the ING email. After that just transfer at least $1,000 every month for 2 months from a different bank. I got the $100 bonus last October. So, it's legit from ING as long as we got the email offer and activate the offer from the link in the email.

If you haven't got the email offer, just empty your ING bank account (transfer it to another bank) and leave $1 or other small amount in ING :P Hopefully you'll get the offer again and again ;-)

It's really weird as for the last 2.5 years of being a ING customer (but not really using the account much) I never received a single email from them and no promos. Now just this year it seems like they've finally recognized me as a customer and I've been getting constant emails. Got this promo as well as the credit card with $200 cashback one.

I did the initial $1000 transfer on Friday in and out from another bank account, and got this email today, so it's all working:

"We've got your first deposit! Here's what you need to do next.

Hi, XXX, Great work on depositing your pay. You're all over it!

Don't forget to do it again next month by depositing your pay of $1,000+ to your Orange Everyday. If you've already shared your account details or the salary form with your payroll, there's nothing more you need to do. Sit back and relax.

In case you haven't done so already, activate this offer by 31 March 2025."

    • Interestingly I got the promo email activated it and transferred $1000 in from my external account but haven't gotten the confirmation email that you have got. Its been 4 days since I made the transfer. I guess ING hasn't picked it up yet or worryingly may never will.

Yeah I'm same as you. 2 deposits now, no confirmations and no payment (yet)
