I agree…I've been churning, buying gift cards for bonus spends for 10+. years. Including Westpac.
Just wondered if this was a new thing with new Westpac cards.
FWIW..I couldn't actually buy any. Transaction fails every time…called and spoke to both gift cards and Westpac..They have no reason for the failure. So maybe the new cards are simply not allowing transactions from this merchant.
Logged a formal complaint with Westpac. See what happens .
