Warranty Details
How our RTB warranties work on all prebuilt and custom PCs is as follows;
- All RAM / SSD & Power Supplies are covered for a minimum of 5 years.
- All GPUs / Motherboards / CPUs & coolers covered for a minimum of 3 years.
- Everything else (basically just chassis & fans) is covered for a minimum of 2 years.
- Where the manufactures warranty is longer than the time frames listed above, it's covered on a component level. eg, The PSU in this system has a 7 year warranty from MSI, so even after the first 5 years, it's covered for the next 2.

That is a lot of PC for the money

    • +5

Not really. Aside from better RAM configs, SSD and better PSU this is a bit steep as R7500F/4070S build could be had for as low as $1,600: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/831546. Plus R7500F/4070Ti S for $1,900 is also hard to beat: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/828086.

The SSD upgrade options are also quite bad imo but the inclusion of the NM790 1TB is a nice touch.

      • +1

Yeah, the regular 4070 just wouldn't do for true ozbargainers.

Not saying they're bad deals, but half the RAM, slower RAM, no WiFi of BT as standard on one of them, bronze rated 650w PSU non PCIe5 on the other, slower SSD, stock cooler instead of 240m AIO and only 12 month warranty… oh and no $380~ AUD worth of steam gift cards.

Also just to clarify, those SSD upgrade options above are to add an additional drive, not just upgrade the existing one.

        • +2

Aye acknowledged on those shortcomings per my original comment but the gains that the 4070S made over the OG 4070 are quite significant while the 4070Ti S could compete almost fair and square with the OG 4080 with OC enabled.

So in lieu of those factors I am sure healthy competition is always good for gamers.

Out of curiosity we just ran through and tried to match the specs as closely as possible with their upgrade options just to make sure.

Looks like once you upgrade the case, cooler and power supply to match as closely as possible it comes to ~ $2044 or $2293 with a 3 year warranty. Still getting slower RAM, SSD and no gift card value but in their favor, still getting the 4070 Super over the non super.

If the longer warranty ins't really a concern, you're not interested in any of those matching upgrades for you and you don't really care about the Steam gift card value, then the TF deal comes out ahead for sure but if not, I think our offering is pretty compelling once the comparison is a bit more apples to apples :)

Similar story for this deal I suspect although it's marked as sold out anyway.

        • Of course I do not wish to undermine your deal in any shape or form but for the average consumers TF or Nebula deals do seem to bring a bit better value for money especially with deals on PSU, RAM and SSD being prevalent in the Computing sections on Ozbargains website.

I would love to support local store as TF is actually based in Adelaide and their communication can definitely use some improvements in response time, but as a regular PC user I would also want to see better deals coming out too. The Steam GC is great and all but if that could be converted into actual credit for small component upgrades that would also be good.

As I've stated, competition is good and I am sure lots of people will find your offer reasonable but it is certainly not the best offer out there.

@Grey 13: Totally appreciate your insights for us and other OzBers, just wanted to put our 2c in for anyone still left with questions as to what is the benefit of our offer over others. If we don't go in to bat for ourselves, who will? =]

Also not sure if people are missing it (or just hoping that MSI would do as you suggest and allow component upgrades instead of gift cards): the Steam gift card is offered by MSI directly. MSI being the ones who see the benefit from having a customer enjoying all the MSI parts in the PC, rewarding the end-user with the gift card. We're just leveraging the MSI promo to help customers get more value when they enevitably have Steam titles to purchase.

Thanks once again for your comments - they're not falling on deaf ears here and we'll use everyone's feedback to shape our future offers.

With a bunch of bargain hunting tech heads there's always going to be someone shooting down why something else is better, often from what I've seen comparing two builds which aren't the same in either pricing or configuration, but from my perspective, this is exactly the kind of build I've been looking for.
Instead of having to go through the process of selecting something that has the pricing I'm looking for, and then upgrading all the parts to get the configuration I'm actually after and finding I've thrown hundreds more to the point I'm no longer interested, this build has done it from the outset, and I'd like to acknowledge my personal appreciation.

It's certainly not going to be for everyone, but for the price point, the configuration is spot on for my personal preferences in terms of the build I'd be looking for.
Personally I love what you've done with this build, and the price point and the approach you've taken.

Hi rep, can we also be given the chance to ungade to 4070 Ti Super please?

    • +3

Sorry but the real kicker that makes this deal awesome is the steam gift card promo value and sadly MSI hasn't included the SUPER series cards in this particular deal.

The negging etc here and in the last thread is pure cope.

Every time I or someone I know has cheaped out on TF or Nebula rig, they've had some kind of issue coming from one of the lower quality components. Even if it's shitty case fans that lose their bearings within 6 months. When you combine these factors with the shorter warranties you're inviting additional costs.

For the hardware on offer here, including the steam card value that all of the critics conveniently ignore, COMBINED with the peace of mind and insurance against additional costs in the long warranty and high component quality, this deal IS very good.

By the way, all of the higher end CPUs with stock coolers and shitty cases are not going to be anywhere near as performant or long-lasting as they should be. Appreciate the liquid cooling option for a slightly lower tier CPU. This is a rig that you buy and keep for 10+ years, not swap out after 3-5. THAT is another saving.

Pay peanuts and get monkeys, people. Longevity and reliability are as valid a budget consideration as initial outlay. The point of ozbargain is to save money. You do that by considering all relevant factors and not cherry picking arguments out of cope.

10 years? surely GPU will need upgrading in about 5?

      • I'm still running an 11.5 year old GPU that runs everything but new AAA-ish games at 1080p/60. It depends on how much one's standards are influenced by reddit brainrot.

      • +1

Shhh, please don't tell that to my launch shipment 1080 Ti (about to be 7 years old).

  • +2

Looking forward to having a great deal for 4070tis from you.

  • Is there anyway to upgrade the GPU and PSU?
I almost pulled the trigger on a PC that included a 1100W Platinum PSU.
Would love to future proof this PC by having a beastly PSU.

    • Sorry, SUPER series cards are not eligible for the steam gift card promo and the non SUPER series cards are EOL (aside from RTX4090 of course).

As far as 'future proofing' is concerned unless you plan on jamming in a top of the line 5090 or 6090 in at some point, the mid range cards typically get more power efficient over time and in all likelihood you'd have plenty of options for the next couple of generations that will run on a 750w PSU just fine.

Anything that draws crazy amounts of power like a XX90 class card probably will be overkill and bottle-necked by the CPU anyway. Edit: bottle-necked by the 7500F, not if you opt for the 7800X3D upgrade of course.

  • Craziest deal i've seen yet holy

    • been looking at building one pretty much exactly like this (down to the exact gpu) and it just doesnt get cheaper than this

      • +1

If you're keen, please bear in mind the steam gift card promo will end @ midnight tonight (officially) although anything ordered before we open at 10AM tomorrow morning will be invoiced with a date of 29/02 and still be eligible to claim with MSI by March 15th.

We'll keep the deal live and amend it accordingly once the steam gift card deal ends as the PC itself is still pretty great value, well under the build it yourself PCPartPicker price list, but that steam gift card value really makes it a bargain for anyone who gets in before it expires!

  • Is the $250 USD Steam gift card redeemable under the Australian region?

    • Sure is.

      • I think Steam changed its policy of redeeming gift cards in a different region from one of its currency, and was not sure how this case would be

        • Depends on how recently you belive this happened as we've done at least one or two other offers that took advantage of MSI's very same promo during the course of the validity.
At the end of the day though, it's MSI's promo with clear dates and gift card amounts on offer, so I'm sure that if there was a hurdle thrown up by Steam that MSI would still have to make good on their promise. But, if you want peace of mind on the matter MSI would be best to contact. If you haven't already got an order in though, it's sadly too late to take advantage of the offer as the order needed to be in by 10am this morning to have it back-dated to last month.
Claims can still roll in up until the 15th of March for those who have ordered!

  • Hi there is it still available if I order now?

    • Also, how do you get the price of $2068 including win11 as stated above please?

    • I placed an order based on the above comment regarding the midnight end time. My son is stoked! Thanks

  • I'll give this an upvote. I like your responses here.
Thank you for taking that feedback onboard. You actually are sounding more sincere and genuine here.

    It's also a decent deal.

  • Punching air as I cant get the funds secured in time. Appreciate the upgrade path anyways hope some people took advantage :)

  • Damn I missed the steam gift cards..
