I've been looking for a boundary wire free robot lawn mower for a while and got this deal emailed to me today via JB HiFi perks so you'll need to join and login to see the perks price. The normal price for this is $2999 so it's a pretty amazing deal.

Good luck to the dog owners using this.

    • Because of the dog, or what the dog leaves on the lawn?

      • Dog dies due to lack of greens

    • My two dogs attack the robot vacuum but not this mower.

My ecovac indoors still hasn't finished saving a map 6 months into the last time I reset the (profanity) thing. Which is about the 10th time Ive had to reset the map. Hate to see what this thing would do, probably just take off down the street and mow the leg off small girl in a childcare centre.

This made me laugh more than it probably should have..

ecovac's are rubbish, inside and outside

    • Same. Regret giving away the xiaomi gen 1 robot.

    • On my second Deebot, it works so good I forget it's even there. Both have been fantastic for years, way better than the Roborock I had.

    will it trim my bush?

    • Depends how hardy it is

    • If you lie down

Has anyone been using this? Any feedback?

  • Having trouble logging into perks. Or is it just me?

  • ill wait till the one with a catcher comes along

      • Good call linking to the Yuka. Mammotion has actually delivered a number of robotic lawnmowers now. I'm eyeing off the Luba 2 when it releases to Australia later this year.

        • I just pulled the pin on the Yuka… I've never done a Kickstarter before so I hope it doesn't go belly up but Mammotion has a pretty good brand name so I'm fairly confident and I think the Yuka will be an amazing mower.

You will need to buy additional beacons in most cases. I have a U shaped yard so I have to buy 3 x $200 beacons.

    • How did you know how many beacons you needed? It comes with 2 initially correct? When you were setting up the mower it told you what it needed? Or did you have an idea from other reviews/range details when you bought etc?

      • Click on the “Learn how to set up your ECOVACS GOAT G1 Robotic Lawn Mower” on the JB product page. It will take you to a mapping tool

      • This guy seemed to get away with less beacons than Ecovacs recommended: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUsS7OyLSlI&t=5s

  • How many cats can ride around on it?

Check out my link above to their new Yuka…

    • Luba 2 looks even better to me - slated for release here later in the year. Won't be cheap though.

      • $2k is probably my limit on a robot mower so it's either a choice between the Ecovacs or the Yuka… I'm leaning towards the Yuka at this point in time though.

        • Potential warranty issues and wait til June. No thanks

  • You can also buy it directly via ecovacs site or app, using the coupon code HGVBS.
If you have club points, use them for more discount. If you don’t have points, sign up for eccovacs club membership and complete tasks in app to earn more points.
If you end up buying one, please provide product review later. Thinking of buying one in the future as well.

    • Would still be better buying the gift cards at 10% off, yeah?

  • They matched the price in store and discounted down the individual beacons to the 2 pack price (as 2 packs) weren’t in stock.

  • Aaaaannnd…. A new model is out.
