    I only just got their blu-ray version of this and I was shocked for a moment that this was the same item. Then I noticed that it was dvd :)

        agreed, because they know most people would rather have the blu-ray. I just don't see that it's worth paying an extra $60 or so just for slightly better quality.

          Depends what you're looking at them on. If you own a 50 inch or bigger TV, surely you can't be serious? Or perhaps you need you eyes tested (not joking).

        Agreed. Do you really think that the source material in the 60's 70's and 80's was recorded in high definition?? I think not.
        It's captured on grainy film stock. If anything Blu ray would only magnify the noise reduction artifacts.

          Rubbish!! I've seen many remastered films from the 60s, 70s and 80s, which look amazing in HD. All of the bluray bond set has been remastered. You obviously haven't watched one of these for yourself so your opinion is simply an uneducated assumption. If you have watched one and think it's no good you either have a garbage display or have no idea what you're looking at.

          Its a fact that extreme HD (res. between 2K-4K) has been around since before 1955. Film is very much HD just like in photography.

          Good username. All I hear is "yada yada yada". You obviously have no idea.

          35mm footage is well and truly capable of being shown in "high definition". Not to mention the huge amount of love these Bond films have been shown throughout the remastering process. I watched Dr No on bluray as a test to see how well they had spruced it up and transferred it to bluray. I was astounded by how excellent it looked and I promptly bought the bluray set for $120.

      Who hasn't got blu-ray yet. I've got 3 blu-ray players myself (PS3, Sharp Blu-ray player and Laser BD1080 multi region player setup for Region A blu-rays)
