I travel quite a lot from MEL->SYD with tiger and the "special" A$54.95 fare is not any cheaper than a normal ticket during the week.

I never buy the ticket through Tiger.Just wonder $54.95 has included tax yet?

      • Yes tax is included. Make sure you use an "Australian issued master debit card" to pay for the ticket. Otherwise you will have to pay a $7.5 transaction fee.

        • How abt visa credit card?

        • You can only avoid the fee if you use the .au master debit card.

        • Better to call jetstar and if there's a flight within an hour they'll beat the price by 10% and no credit card fees.

Yeah shit sale.. Let me know when they have the $10 syd-melb flights, that was awesome.

Indeed. Managed to get from Melb -> Sydney (including transfer to the airport) for $20 with those $10 tickets.

  • Wow would buy ADEL > MELB & Back but i'm choosing to drive there instead at the end of the year, Hate taking Melbournes expensive public transport with a passion. This way I can get to all the DFO's :'D in a little time. My last trip from adelaide to melbourne two way, I think it costed me about $140 though jetstar

  • Is this really a sale?
It looks not much different to their normal pricing.
Mel->SYd/GC/BNE is normal price, maybe even a bit more.
But with the Jetstar price beat I suppose its cheapish.

    • Looks like a good price two-way for a more varied travel space period for Adelaide <—-> Melbourne

    I want $8.50 sales again!!!

  • this is just a sale, not a deal/bargain.

If anybody only need cheap flight, regardless the date/time of flight, try to price match with jetstar.
few months ago, I did a price match for my family vacation, got $280 for 4 seats SYD-MEL return from jetstar after price match.

    • that much! got several Mel <-> Gold Coast 2 adults & a bub $110 rtn on their previous sale/price match. Now the Qantas club is open at Coolie again, we'll probably eat&drink that amount ;-)

I agree, I want $9 sale fare again but I wonder if it will ever happen again…

  • Can only see Mel- Hobart $29.95. Nothing else looks cheap and have seen far cheaper.

  • I ordered the ME Mastercard debit card to pay for Tiger Airways flights but I guess now I'll have to have enough money on it at all times to cover return ticket costs. Unless I can find a Jetstar match of course for the price beat guarantee.
