Be aware, the September sun in Japan is fairly brutal.

    • September is beautiful weather, nice and hot, as long as you have aircon where you’re staying for nighttime

      • Even in night time its like a sauna

  • Is this to Narita? Or to Haneda?

    • Seems to vary, depending on the specific booking.

    • Japan Airlines ex. MEL | Tokyo Narita
Japan Airlines ex. SYD | Tokyo Haneda
ANA ex. SYD | Tokyo Haneda
ANA ex. PER | Tokyo Narita

    • Only Sydney gets HND, also 5 of them (ANA, QF and JL) but the rest of the countries get none :(

I'm hoping November deals will arrive soon!

      I'm hoping for late september/october

      • Yeah I'm not going June July ever again.

October would be ideal, November great as well.

  • Am doomed with anything close to my dates as usual. Dangit.

  • What's with the July prices, it's like they suddenly spike up.

      School hols?

  • People say summer in Tokyo in July and August is overly hot and humid.
Having been to all the Aussie capitals (including Darwin) in mid summer, just so I can get an idea, what Aussie capital would Tokyo be on par with summer weather wise?

    • Singapore

    • Far North Queensland, but Darwin is probably close enough minus a bit of humidity

    • I was there in August this year and it was very hard work due to the heat and humidity. All the locals were saying it was hard even for them. We still got around and did stuff we wanted to do but it was extremely hot and sticky.

  • So we booked from Perth, direct to Tokyo in November for 3 weeks, was about $1900 total for two return.
It said economy light, 1 checked baggage, I assume that means one each?

    • Yes

    • Also looked at hotels through the website for November and they are all so expensive

Rough the return leg for some of the JAL flights is 38 hours.

Will pass on losing an entire day to Singapore.

  • The Melb-Tokyo JAL direct flights are all above AUD1.2k. Are the cheap tickets gone already?
