I think this is pretty much the perfect micro quad. Want to fly indoors? No problem, on beginner setting, it's great fun to enforce the lounge no-fly-zone.Want to fly outside? No problem, it's big enough to be seen and orientated from a fair distance. Want to fly in wind? No problem, is has the power to penetrate the wind, and the gyros to dampen out the turbulence. Want to use as a trainer? No problem, it's tough enough to take those beginner knocks due to its thick frame.Want to have fun? No problem with the WLtoys quad.

High stability during hover and flight
Agile in flight and very responsive to pilot's command
The flight time can be as long as 10 minutes
This product can be controlled with the V911 transmitter, but be informed that it has some differences as compared to the original WLtoys V929 Beetle TX. If you want to perform 3D stunt movements, it is recommended to use the original WLtoys Beetle TX.
The Beetle can fly outdoor in wind weather (outdoor wind grade 3-4).

  Judging from the original price, the discount seems pretty significant.

  I managed to get hold of this quad through a friend who came back from China. As compared to the earlier V929 (which was a great flyer too), this new version flies pretty much the same but looks way better. I love the dazzling LEDs, and so do the kids around my neighbourhood. :)

  While this is a new product, some reviews could be found on the popular RC forums. There are a couple of nice videos to help you make an informed decision. ;)

      Hi,the v929 quad without led lights,his brother v949(which is the upgrades version of v929) has the LED function.

      Yes you are right. I was so excited about my V949 (second generation of the V929) that I thought the deal was on that! I couldn't amend my earlier comment and I apologise for the confusion. :)

      I have the V929, V939 and the latest V949. All are excellent flying toys.

    As this is Ready-To-Fly (RTF) package, it has everything you need to get it airborne. But you may want to get more batteries, replacement blades and booms.

      I am expecting that, but sometime the RTF is RTF after you bind it to a 4ch controller or RTF once you add battery, solder the servos etc. Just want to be sure!

  Typically, RTF means "all-in". While this has 4 channels, this is really a toy-grade quad, so it would not be a good idea for WLtoys to require customers to solder parts. :)

    Agreed, but imagine my displeasure if I buy one and it comes without a controller. I guess I'm asking because $40 including controller is pretty cheap.

        yes its with a controller, WLToys have the best bang for buck (its a cheap clone of the Blade mQX)
