MobileCiti helped eBay Plus members by charging an extra cent ($250.01), $20 off the current best on eBay price, instead of $15.

I bought one last year, and just grabbed another. Missed the awesome BingLee deal, and couldn't pay full price. But this model is apparently obsolete, so not sure how long stocks will last (source: Bing Lee).

I've found this cheap case to be perfect.

  • Aren't these rubbish? Like, a bargain and prob the best bang for buck, but laggy and rubbish?

Last Lenovo tab I had was the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10. While the specs were great, Lenovo quickly stopped supporting it and didn't release Android updates. Was very slow and buggy. Put me off Lenovo tablets. Have they improved at all?

ive got one and confirm its laggy, but once you are in an app its all fine. weird how that is but meh works fine apart from that.

Can load movies etc on a large microsd, perfect for kids camping etc

The OS is little bit laggy but once you get into apps its fine. Defintely not butter but not frustatingly slow.

It came with Android 12 but has been updated to 13. I don't expect 14.

Youtube looks great on it, decent stereo speakers.

      PS Remote Play runs perfectly.

Without going grey import, I think it's great bang for the buck.

If I didn't already have this, I would get the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 OLED. (Sold Out)

      • I looked at that one a few times, but delivery & warranty "lottery" wasn't worth it, along with the case costs, and overall a lot more money… for an import.

They're laggy but using a different launcher helps.

Based on all the comments I read, this was the line in the sand. Anything cheaper was suffering. These specs for this price was unmatched, and fit for purpose.

My two kids absolutely love theirs. 40hr+ road trip over Xmas, and they never complained once. Filled with offline Netflix, and SD card content.

      Everyone has different expectations.

  • We have a very similar case. Looks exactly the same but different brand, Avakot (although probably slightly different model/size). The stand of the case is rubbish. The bit that holds it in place breaks off easily. When I asked the seller about it they said yeah we know, but here's some money if you just let it slide. Kinda wanted to just get a refund but the case itself is actually pretty good for our toddler so we ended up keeping it. It doesn't stand up by itself now, but we jammed one of those Ikea bag clips between the hand strap and the stand and it's pretty solid.

    • I find ours needs patience, to think/feel how it should be opened. If I try to just grab & open, it resists, and would probably break if I'm rough with it. I think that's pretty fair & standard for anything.

  • hey will i be able to play netflix HD on this?

  • I have both this, and the Chinese version.
The Chinese OS is, strangely enough, better optimised and less laggy, tho still somewhat laggy compared to modern phones.

Besides some crapware, that can be easily uninstalled, ZUI it's great.
I haven't found a way to permanently change their region, but they can be rooted and a GSI rom installed (but you'd lose Widevine)

They're solid tablets, and I've found them excellent value for money for media consumption.

After upgrade to android 13, if you want to restore more of its smoothness for the app drawer and quick settings navigation then you can turn off "Allow window-level blurs" on the hidden developer setting. I was really disappointed with it's UI navigation performance after android 13 upgrade but it's similar to it's android 12 performance with that setting turned off.

If you want a technically more accurate display(as in what the apple devices are usually calibrated to) change the display setting to standard+warm but this is of course subjective since most people prefer a bluer and more vivid as opposed to closer to the D65 standard.

    • thanks thats perfect , turning that blur off has completely removed the lagginess for me.

    • Yeah, thanks Sum1. That helped me also.

  • Anyone use one of these as a Home Assistant dashboard? What's the experience like?

  • i was looking for an alternative to an iPad that my kid broke.

i dont want them to break another iPad so i need something cheaper for them to play roblox and watch netflix. i was considering some of the aliexpress tablets that are around the same price with better specs.

does anyone have those aliexpress tablets that can tell me about your experience

    • Probably best asking in of those deals, as they'll know. Not sure what product you're referring to though. I believe @Clear is the expert in these things.

  • Speak of the devil.

Just got Android security update - 5 January 2024.
