Thanks! Please note, it will also struggle to act as the control centre for the Large Hadron Collider. I should have pointed that out, too (obviously).

Previous gen processor, weak graphics and a pretty whatever screen. Pretty hard to get excited at this price, $2000 RRP is just insane

Clearance model. Under 1K may consider.

replace HDD with SSD and it's more than enough for normal use(watch movie, online shopping etc)

In contrast to their laptop computers, which along with Toshiba have fared particularly well in reliability surveys in recent times, for as long as I can remember in the surveys I have read in local and overseas mags Asus desktops always seem to do really, really badly. Just be forewarned. Mind you, something like this may be more laptop internally than traditional desktop. If I were considering this I still think I'd be doing specific searches relating to the motherboard etc.

  • This is not a great deal. Give it a few weeks and it should fall further.

This uses a sandy bridge processor which is previous generation. It also uses previous generation mobile graphics so won't be great for gaming. I don't think this is worth considering at $1000/- at $800/- it would be a decent deal.

I am not sure what HN were smoking when they originally priced it at $2K.
