meh.. it was on throughout 2023 but didn't use much.

they charge extra 10% TIP & x% tax on top of already inflated menu price.

meal quality is hit and miss also.

I was gonna say, wouldn’t make any difference in the US, I was bullied to tip for the free breakfast with gold, once they added a $10 tip without asking to my bill in New Orleans, nothing is free there.

Yup Diamond here too Useless overpriced food last experienced at Hilton Parmelia Perth and Little QueenSt Melbourne Eat out never at in at a Hilton/waldorf/Doubltree!

  • Nice. Is there anything like this in the US?

    • The other deal I'm aware of is their Points Plus Promotion. Not a discount on meals, but you get 2000 bonus HH points per stay, between now till 1st May 2024. Might need to book via Hilton's website though?

To receive Gold or Diamond benefits, earn points, you must book direct with hotel or Hilton. If you have a good relationship with hotel they may allow Diamond/Gold benefits on 3rd party bookings eg Expedia, Hotels.com, but no HHonors points earned.

  • Yup Like Hilton SF Union Square Diamond (Hilton owned) breakfast in restaurant changed to Vouchers to use at in-hotel Schtar-ucks, as compare to Hilton SF Financial District where Gold/Diamonds get a full buffet breakfast , lounge access (Golds if upgraded), Hilton Tel Aviv where its a full buffet breakfast and you can eat also upstairs in Executive lounge which has all day self serve wine, spirits etc WA Berlin and Jerusalem full buffet breakfast - and Aussie properties like melbourne Little Queen St expect a copay if you want full buffet …..

  • Many of the Hilton properties in Australia are franchises and not actually owned by Hilton, so the quality of service can be hit and miss as it's not consistent.

The Glass Brasserie by Luke Mangan in the Hilton Sydney is probably our favourite Hilton restaurant in Australia. It's fine dining style without being pretentious.
