@pizzaguy: Due to the shape, I've read and experienced issues with the KitchenAid mixer itself (not the bowl) acting like it's raving at a disco.

Just received the below email after placing an order around 2:00PM yesterday.

    -

AN UPDATE ON YOUR RECENT ORDER

Thank you for your recent order with KitchenAid.

As you are aware, we experienced an internal discount code go live across public forums over the past 24 hours. Please note this isn’t our usual practice, however, we want to honour this promotion for you and your product will be with you soon.

    Happy holidays,
    KitchenAid Australia & New Zealand

I received this as well. i was not one of the ones that ordered a lot. I ordered a hand mixer and a food processor, so I am very happy.

      • I received the email as well. I ordered one food processor.

    • Did 2 orders (3 mixers in total, shame on me) but received only one email

  • +3

    Yay will be honoured

    • +4

Excellent, hopefully they honor all the orders that have been made in good-faith.. (cancelling orders for 5+ mixers or the likes is understandable)

        • +8

I think people would believe this comment a bit more if you didn’t previously say “ bought 10, one in each colour to sell on fb marketplace”

          • +4

@Willo06: Or this comment on another post:

"I had ordered 1x for the wifey, and then several more to resell (so I effectively got the wifey's unit for free). Unfortunately kitchenaid cancelled the orders."

        • 2 or maybe 3 isn't too unreasonable, but 10 is just a dick move that ruins it for everyone…

More often than not when things like this happen they just cancel all orders because it's too hard to sift through them all and weed out the ones taking the piss, everyone loses out thanks to the greedy people…

          • +3

@FLICKIT: someone ordering 10 would trigger them to think there is an issue. That’s probably what stopped the code.

  • +11

Props to them for honouring the deal. Fair enough for them cancelling greedy orders like Pandabargain's.

    • +1

      You misspelled PandaBroden

Also received an update email from KitchenAid: "As you are aware, we experienced an internal discount code go live across public forums over the past 24 hours. Please note this isn’t our usual practice, however, we want to honour this promotion for you and your product will be with you soon."

Glad despite everything we can have nice things!

I didn't buy with shop pay fyi

I ordered one stick blender at $49, was in the cart with disc when I started putting card #s in but was then charged $99. Email query, no response so called today, after waiting half an hour the response was we can't change price, we can't cancel order (despite site saying it will take 5 days to send order), you will receive at full price and can then return. What a cluster* of a company. Waiting for a "manager" to return call

Let me know how you go, same thing happened to me. It's 2023!

  • +1

    My order has shipped! :)

    • +2

Mine too. Artisan ordered just before the code expired. I assume a lot of people are in a similar boat.

Kitchenaid honouring this deal goes a long way with brand affinity. I’m happy and impressed. If you’re reading this KitchenAid marketing/ops person: you guys made the right decision. Gold star for you.

    • Did you mean your order was confirmed or actually sent? Their "handling" times are at least business 2 days, even for the express option.

Asking out of curiosity, fingers crossed you get it soon.

      • +2

        Actually sent.

  • Ordered mine at 3pm, received the email about honouring the deal but no confirmation on shipping yet (did not order through Shopapp)

  • Mine arrived today

  • Arrived 1 of my orders today. No cancellations emails yet but only 1 confirmation

  • Mine just arrived. Thank you OP as it was a birthday gift for someone else, and it’s going to be very well loved!

Got the KSM195 for $389.50 and it just arrived.
    Thanks OP!

I'm gonna get downvoted again, but I did 2 orders (3 mixers in total, I'm a baker they'll all gonna get used), and I just received shipping confirmation for both orders.

    • Out of curiosity, how much do you bake and which models? As in, a professional baker and this is for the business?

      • +3

Bought 3 KSM70. Professional baker, we use them for very small preps or recipe trials, we have much bigger mixers (60L to 200L) for bread and big batches.

For $450 you can't find any better.

        • Amazing, thanks. From what I researched, there wouldn't be much difference between KSM70 and commercial KA units. Which are not available via Aussie KA website and don't go on sale really. Just confirming my research here, I'm not a pro.

          • +1

@pizzaguy: Yeah, not that much difference, especially since it's the new model with a stronger motor.
You can find the commercial one for $1400, not worth it.
If you mix pizza dough and have money, consider getting a small spiral mixer, it'll be much more effective.

    • Any cheap alternative for the shredder/grater attachment?

      • Sorry, I'm not the one who is selling those. I found it on OzB.

  • Gave this as a gift and it was tested today, the mixer is faulty. Won’t turn off ever when at the 0 dial. Anyone else have this issue?

    • Get them to replace it.

      • Yep I’ve reached out to them, waiting to hear back.

  • Mine has arrived. Thanks OP and thanks Kitchenaid!

  • My KSM70 paid with PayPal has finally shipped. My fams' KSM70 via Shop App hasn't yet.

  • Anyone else still have theirs as processing after receiving the email that they'll honour the promotion last friday?

    • +1

      See my comment above.

One KSM70 was confirmed but hasn't shipped yet.

      • Thanks, i'll just hold tight for now.

        • +1

I've just checked and thought it's worth mentioning that even though I got the invoice and AusPost tracking number for the order, and I can see it's on its way on the AusPost website, KA website shows "Order status: Hasn't left our warehouse yet".

Then I checked the other order (for which there's been no email with an invoice and a tracking number) on KA website and it showed me "Order status: In Transit" and gave me a tracking link. So, apparently it's been travelling since Tuesday - despite I checked the website every day! - and after checking the tracking link, I learnt that merely 5 minutes ago:

AusPost "attempted delivery" but "no one was home", which is very AusPost BS, as I've been working or relaxing at the front the whole morning.

The gist - KA doesn't seem greatly organised (which is fine, it must be busy as) and AusPost/the contractors they hire are just lying and being as unreliable as everyone should assume. Expect your parcel between today and a month ahead.

Got no shipping confirmation or information, it’s been “processing” all week until I got a surprise delivery yesterday morning. The other half of the order was delivered today.

Finally got mine delivered today (WA).
