Is this a DIY product or do you need to use a locksmith ?
100% DIY, simple installation, just require a screwdriver can complete the work
just search NITY smart lock, many videos will help this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj3wfrC_baI
Would be super curious if insurance would cover someone hacking your lock…
You mean with a steel pipe?
normal lock will get insurance covered?
10% off with code : LXZ-WXOSHKD
thanks, this is an extra 10% off on top of the special price of $99, after applying the invite code, pay $89.10 for 2pack.
Which begs the question..why post @ $99 and not $89.10?
not sure about the rule here, as $89.10 requires you to get the invite code from other buyer
@Stephen pan: Why not just add a unique code for ozbargain with 10% off and add it to the OP?
get the invite code from other buyer
Not necessarily…
@randomusername2017: thanks, this is a good idea, we will do it next time.
@Stephen pan: Cheaper with code - LXZ-WXOSHKD - neg.
Edit - A mod has added it now. Always best to post the lowest price on Aus number one bargain website.
That $9.90 is better in our pocket than yours.
Is the Smart Gateway necessary for the smart locks?
if you need to enable remote unlock, then yes. or you want to know when the door is opened or close when you are not at home, the gateway can help with the notification message to your smart phone.
Does it not work with the home router or an app that can control it from?
Thanks.
the Smart Gateway needs to work with your home router, as Smart Gateway the main job is converting Bluetooth signal into WIFI signal and then going online.
the door lock does not come with a WIFI signal, it uses Bluetooth for communication, to save power.
our our smart device are using the TUYA app, all the devices use only one APP for control, TUYA.
@Stephen pan: Thank you for your help
It works via the gateway. The lock itself doesn't have wifi.
If I need the locks in two separate areas of the house I need two gateways, correct?
no so correct, the doorlock uses Bluetooth for the device's communication, then the maximum distance between the gateway and the door is 10m. If 2 of your doors are less than 20m away, then you just need to put one gateway between them.
Any ideas if this works with Home Assistant, and/or Tuya plugin?
I have an unsupported Tuya device and it recognises it, but unable to see any entities
our smart gateway or door lock can work with Alexa and Google Home Assistant.
if not support Tuya device, then we do not have any idea.
My tuya motion sensors use the Bluetooth hub and they don't have any entities in Home Assistant. Possibly the same case with these Bluetooth locks.
How long do the battery last?
For at least half year, buy a good quality battery that can be used for more than a year. and if the battery runs out, the doorlock comes with an emergency recharge function, you just need a power bank to power it up.
hi all, use the extra 10% off code: LXZ-WXOSHKD
if you pay $99 for a 2-pack, we will provide $10 credit back to your purchase account/card, sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Inconvenience? How about posting it in the post listing next time instead of another member pointing it out lmfao
d
You're salty and I don't know why but how about not taking it out on others
Can this use the Tuya Arlec Grid Connect BT hub ?
yes, it can, as long as your Bluetooth gateway is supported with TUYA, then the door lock and the gateway can pair with each other.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
