It’s nuts that the Shield hasn’t had a hardware update since 2019 and it’s still one of the best streaming devices. Love mine.

  That it doesn't have platform AV1 codec support may start to become a problem. But yes, otherwise remarkably long lived. Fingers crossed they continue to update and support, best, most flexible smart tv add-on
