This TV was a huge improvement over last years c735. For the 65" model it went from a 64 LED backlit model to FALD with 160 locally controlled LEDs. Blacks are better and it's far brighter. It is not a mini-led TV like the c845, but it's the best TV in this price range by far, and an extra $450 for the c845 won't be justifiable to everyone.

This is almost the lowest price this TV has been (lowest ever without added discounts was two days at $1074). Although manufacturers are going all-in on mini-led next year which could see some big brand mini-led tvs get to the $1000 price point (aka not Hisense Australia), that's several months from actually happening and not confirmed yet, so as we had been sitting on our UHD edge-lit LG tv this was a huge upgrade for us 😂😂

        Who did you order with ? I got the c845 85inch from JB, was told wasn't going to be available until the 28th of Dec. Which I agreed too. It arrived on the 14th and still sitting in the box.

          Got mine from my local Good Guys… They had 21 coming into Australia & 6 were already taken (Pre Ordered)… Ordered 17/11 & as soon as they received their shipment they called & organised delivery… Very happy with the service

          Sorry for late reply. I ordered from TGG. I just emailed them then and they said they're still awaiting stock (mine was 75") and have no idea when they'll get it in (SA). No choice but to keep waiting.

    Can also get The Good Guys to price match Retravision (currently $1075) via their online chat.

    Another option if you have a RAC membership (free signup here via imaginary child (or real if you have one!)), you can save 5% on the retravision price, bringing the cost of the TV down to $1021.25 (verified to work by their online chat). Not going to post that as it's own offer since I'm new and the rules for posts made doing that sound complicated lol

      I signed up via the link but it never issued a RAC member number. When I logged in to the online portal and viewed my membership card, it had no member number on it. Ended up getting Appliances Online to price match Retravision though as they could deliver the next day (today!) and Retravision were unsure when it could be delivered. Thanks for the tip about the Retravision price though!

    If you are going to get a TCL, might as well hold out for a TCL C845 miniLED which was been well reviewed by reviewers and ozbargainers alike.

      65" been around $1400 a few times recently, so it'd really only be an extra $300 or so at JB with discounted gift cards.

        The c845 75 at 1500 after cashback was the best deal in the recent past. I doubt even if boxing day will match.

          Tried everything, including manually looking through all the TVs listed on the Bing Lee Ebay store - I could only find the 32" TCL mentioned above.

      It works really well with consoles, with computers it's great with AMD graphics cards but Nvidia (eg 40series) support is spotty apparently.
