  • So the s20 dual Sim is dual nano? Wow thats rare. But not 5G.

The other one, 5G but single Sim. Not even nano&esim?
    Tough choice… Hmmm

  • +2

Can't believe the s20 is almost 3 years old already

    • +2

It's actually almost 4 years 🙂 Best all round phone I've ever had. Battery getting a bit tired, so I'm considering doing a replacement as I have little reason to upgrade.

      • +3

Yes Last series from Samsung to have SD card so I am still using it

      • +6

        Can't believe I still think it's 2022

    • this means it'll stop getting support from Samsung very soon right?

      • Only security updates for 1 more year, OS updates have stopped, so Android 13 was the last.

  • I wish there is model number on listing so we can check the right specs (processors different depending models)

    • +1

There is at the top of the page, with the little yellow question mark. Looks like both are global models so it's Exynos for both.

  • @erroorfree hello, what process is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Dual Sim?

  • +5

Bring back the microsd card to flagship phones in 2024!
Looking for a samsung esim and microsd card phone. Pretty much stopped at the s20 range except 20fe (microsd but no esim)

      • +1

You can still use the internal storage. Microsd is what i use for backups and extra storage. It's good to have options.
You're just being told what to accept and following the crowd as opposed to you having an opinion hence why big corporations get away with what they do.

        • -4

Technology is technology and I've been around long enough to make up my own mind about things. Yes good to have options and good to have backup but technology has moved on. UFS more reliable, much faster and it works better for my needs. Cloud backup for my photos and videos.

Am I running out of room on my phone, I've had 256gb phones for a few years now and never run into issues. Not shooting 4k video all the time and j don't have a need for it. Bluetooth earbuds worked fine for me too, early days weren't as good because of the inferior audio quality to wired, but now they're on par with none of the hassle of fiddling around to untangle wires.

        • +2

For me it's not about following the crowd, I've had too many microSD cards fail on me to trust them as any type of additional or backup storage. That's just my experience though, and I'm not saying the option shouldn't be there.

          • @ldd-mn: Yeah I used to be fans of sdcard but since plenty of 256gb is normal, I don't think it is a must to have sd. Yeah backup? Just create a folder name sdcard.
If someone say but I can't take the card, let me ask how many times in a year you take your sdcard out from phone? Probably zero.

          • @ldd-mn: I use mine for taking large collection of music/video from home with me. So a phone isn't flagship if it doesn't have large (microSD add-on) storage option

            • @Ulysses31: I guess that rules out any recent flagship then?

              • @ldd-mn: I don't see how they can be deemed a flagship then, if they're gimped. That's my opinion anyway.

            • @Ulysses31: How much GB of movies you will watch on the go? I used to do the same put lots lots MP3 and MP4 like whole 9 seasons of big bang but actually watching maybe just 4 episodes. We can always delete and replace. If you have NAS it's very easy no need cable or laptop.

              • @CyberMurning: I don't have the time/priority to be constantly updating my phone catalogue. Just dump a large amount of everything on there, and I can go anywhere remote, with a ton of options to watch.I have a Plex server, but pulling things across the country/planet isn't always an option, particularly for high quality.

                • @Ulysses31: Fair enough. Like I said I was the same years ago. But not anymore.

  • Gone up to $429

Edit. My bad $349 when added to cart. I missed that in OPs post.

  • Any P30 pro deals?

  • +2

    Is the battery replaced?

    • This is what I'd like to know… and if it was replaced, was it genuine Samsung replacement. @erroorfree

    • +1

      Unlikely

  • Hmmmm. Is the 20+5g going to be a noticeable upgrade over my s20fe5g? Is it Exynos 990 or Snapdragon in Australia? The only benefit I can see is esim (although do only the Mani telcos do esims?) plus nano SIM and better selfie camera I'd never use, vs better battery life and Snapdragon for my fe.

    • Wait so the s20 5g also dual Esim and nano?
But the non 5g is dual nano and nano?

    • +1

I've had both, stuff all difference. I just liked the s20 plus better because its not as big and heavy but battery life is indeed worse.

  • Tempted to get s20 for spare phone, to replace my current spare phone Galaxy note 3

  • A Leaked countdown GIF shows the next Galaxy S24 Unpacked event happening at 1 PM ET on January 17

  • +1

Gotta love the term 'refurbished', getting wide use these days. Sounds so much better that used, 2nd hand phone.
    Makes me wanna buy it.

  • I would be tempted if it was the S21 plus at this price but seems too old now with security updates and likelihood of battery starting to decline.

  • I wonder if OP would advise whether these are overseas models or Australia models. So far as I am aware, all trade in programs checks the IMEI / Serial number and ban non Australia models.

  • I received the s20+ dual sim yesterday, and according to accubattery, battery health is 89%.
physical condition is no different from a new device.
