Hi, sorry posting for the first time. Price in title now. Let me know if this is good now.

    $750 Off

    Their normal price is $5,590

    So $390 off, not $750

@Churna: Maybe if they were a bit more honest in their advertising, I'd have nothing to comment on…

jv is for some reason immune to moderation. He's a stain on this website.

          • -1

@Hinee: He "drives engagement (i.e. mostly people saying he's an idiot)," which if you're a moron is the only metric that you judge a website by, apparently, and thus complaints are dismissed out of hand.

            • +5

@mickeyjuiceman: What a load of bs. Most of his comments are very valid. Specially this one. Pointing out the regular price vs the inflated rrp.

Thank you jv. Ignore the haters… nothing better to do with their time.

          • +1

          • @Hinee: You'll get over it , it's not exclusive to you .

      • -2

Ignore this individual, all they do is complain and attempt to dictate what is and isn't a deal, yet they personally contribute absolute nothing to the website.

Admin kindly look into the account of these keyboard warriors please.

Yeah unfortunately that's not going to happen because useless abundant comments = more traffic which = more money for the website, and we all know money talks!

I wanted to bring few great offers of Aussie-made trailers around Christmas, but it's disheartening to see little appreciation for a locally build trailer. When people don't value our local trailer builders, it's tough for the industry. All we could see around are imported trailers that are highly unsafe as they are just bolted together. Let's show some love for our Aussie trailers and support local businesses!

          • +1

@trailertrailers: No he has pointed out the regular selling price of the trailor nothing more.

The discount isn't as big as mentioned… And it may still be a deal.

            Nothing to get uptight about…

No one is insulting your tailors.

            • @wisc: As stated by the OP, the RRP changes with time, as it does with literally all goods and services.

If you can't comprehend that, I feel sorry for you.

              • @magic8ballgag:

                the RRP changes with time

                proof???

wayback machine shows they always do a price comparison with $7960.

When did they last sell one for $7960?

Advertising a price comparison with a price that you haven't recently sold it for is against the law.

If you can't comprehend that, I feel sorry for you.

            • +1

@wisc: I was insulting their trailers, that was me. Reviews speak for themselves and there is enough of them.

Do you use Australian made steel?

    • Yes we use Australia Blue Scope Steel.

      • +1

So you don't use any imported steel?

        • +1

No we do not use Imported Steel. Unless you are buying an imported trailer. Trailers that we build in our factory in Thomastown (Melbourne) are made with Australian Steel.

              😲

            • @billadm: Nope. Bluescope PK takes dirt and turns it into steel. Iron Ore from NT/WA/QLD, Coal from Tahmoor/Appin/Bulli and Oxygen from Coregas/BOC (onsite).

      • -1

        Australia Blue Scope Steel

That sounds uneducated and misleading because they don't make steel so what of their brand do you use?

        • +4

You sound very uneducated considering BlueScope do actually make steel. I have a warehouse full of it.

@billadm: Here is the link from the website about the manufacturing unit.

              https://www.bluescope.com/illawarra

BlueScope accounts for more than $2 billion in sales of locally produced steel each year, and the Port Kembla Steelworks has a production capacity of just over 3 million tonnes of steel per annum. The Steelworks covers 760 hectares

$2 billion in sales of locally produced steel each year

But you guys don't have a AU domain name so I don't consider you as an Australian genuine business but more like a global corporate.

A .au domain name is an important digital asset that helps people find you, your business or your organisation online and signals to people visiting your website and sending you emails that you have a connection to Australia.

Can I just get this totally straight - are you claiming Bluescope don't make steel? Seriously? Have you just had a quick look at their website and read between the lines or something?

        • BSL make steel. I watched it go from dirt to steel with my own eyes.

  • Can you do this in gal?

    • Yes we can do Australian galvanised for the same product. Lead time is approx 8 weeks.
Please speak to our sales team for the best offer on the same.

  • Woohoo, I can turn my Corolla into a tipper truck now…. Do they come in Yellow?

    • Sorry to disappoint you - this is the only colour available. The paint is charcoal finish and is a self priming paint.

I'm genuinely interested in a trailer, but trying to find anything about you guys online is proving very difficult.
If you've been trading for 35 years, why only 7 reviews from one website? https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/trailer-trailers

Have you changed business names? I'm not having a go, I just rarely buy anything without reviewing the product online first. And other than your website showing a blog that's no older than 6 months, there's no ACN, ABN, or anything really?

Under an ASIC check there are numerous "trailer trailers" entities, are you a franchise?

    • Kindly visit our website - trailertrailers.com.au / we are a part of Victorian Trailers PTY LTD
Please check reviews on Google Business Location.

      • +1

Thanks for the info, I think it clears things up a bit.
So Vic Trailers is the wholesaler/manufacturer, and the shop front/retailer is Trailer & Trailers?

Why so many new retail outlets though? It doesn't bode well to be using new business names all the time…. causes doubt in relation to the quality of the product and backing of it warranty wise, if new retail names are made over and over?

Do you have a retail shopfront that's more established, or as a customer can I buy direct from the manufacturer?

        • Thanks for your message and understanding. Our direct factory outlet is at 33 Trawalla Ave Thomastown VIC 3074
You can reach our sales team at 03 94643100

    • They operate under a stack of names, 38 actually, lol:
      https://abr.business.gov.au/ABN/View/13006908756

      • Yes we have branches and distributors across Australia. We are manufacturing trailers for over 35 years.

They could just be registering Business Names to avoid people taking them, just like people register domains.

  • Hi Rep, im looking for a cheap small covered trailer do you have anything you can do a similar special on for me?

  • +4

reviews of vic trailers which these guys form part of is very hit and miss. I was in the market for a trailer recently and ended up going with a different supplier and happy I did.

  • +4

I'll be honest, pricing in Victoria for trailers is an absolute joke.. even getting any modifications done expect to pay no less than $1000 for even a 2 hour job ($500+ an hour)

Look at prices in QLD or NSW and pay Carways to transport one down ($600). You'll save a lot of money as you'll get a full galvanised priced for our thin checker plate prices.

The same is everywhere in Victoria wether it's Sunshine trailers, A1, Total Trailers, Hoppers Trailers (industrial trailers), western star trailers (if they even exist anymore) or wherever you go.

    • I went to my local trailer joint (in Warragul) and got electric brakes fitted to my 8x5 trailer which included 2 x new axles (with hubs etc) along with some new u bolts + brackets, tow hitch, wiring etc and got it all done for just over $1500 and then he did me a deal on wheels to avoid me driving to Melbourne. His labour was only about $125 an hour. Parts were just under $1000 (excluding the wheels).

So I guess it depends on where you go. Maybe the smaller places are cheaper.
