730

Want to spend your summer holidays watching the worlds’ top-ranked tennis players compete?

From 29 December to 7 January, the world's best players will play for country in the United Cup for a second time, with the unique and unifying mixed-teams event set to light up the Australian summer.

Showcasing equality at the highest level of the sport, the worlds’ top-ranked players will line up side-by-side at the Ken Rosewall arena in Sydney and RAC Arena in Perth.

Eighteen countries will contest the second edition with each city to host nine teams; three more than 2023. Each team will comprise up to three men and up to three women.

Countries are drawn into six groups of three countries and will compete in a round robin format.

New for 2024 – each tie will be determined in one session and will include one men’s singles and one women’s singles match, followed by one mixed doubles match.

As well as national pride, countries are playing for their share of a $10 million prize pool, up to 500 ranking points, and the United Cup itself.

Are the only dates these $5 tickets available Fri 29th Dec? Doesn't allow me to change the date?

    • +2

You reserve the tickets first to get a unique code, then use the link to go to the Ticketmaster website to select which session you would like to go to. The code then unlocks the tickets for that session.

Update: Thanks all, just booked for Jan 3 Greece vs Canada. Auger-Aliassime vs Tsitsipas for $5, not bad at all!

  • +1

I just gave them that feedback and they said they were onto it! The date doesnt really matter anyway as it just gives you a code to then go and use across any session on Ticketek and Ticketmaster.

  • Will there be complimentary tickets for the Brisbane International too? The tickets for Brisbane are sky high this year and appears to have increased since a couple weeks ago. Surely Sydney and Perth shouldn't get all the freebies.

    • +1

Haha I highly doubt it! United Cup was played in Bris last year but for some reason they removed it this year. If ticket prices are sky high for Bris there's no way they'll give away tix. Comp ticket strategies are usually only ever used to grow audiences.

      • brooooo i just paid $210 for 3 tickets like 3 days ago zzzzzz i mean for the sydney 3rd jan night time match

      • 😂The majority of tickets on sale for the night sessions are all 'restricted view' and I think they haven't released all the tickets yet since if they were nearly all gone then it would say 'low availability'.

Is the price difference because the quality of the Brisbane International is better? For instance I had a look at the price of a Sydney night session in the first tier closest to the court and they were $80, but in Brisbane that would cost over $100.

  • are these all restricted view?

    • +1

Nope. Just too many empty seats.

    • Day sessions are mostly GA so you are mostly free to find the best seat you can.

  • Fantastic, I was planning on going but hadn't gotten around to buying tickets!

  • Many thanks for sharing this, will most likely be attending every session now!

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy just 1 ticket for $5? Or is the only option either 2 tickets for $10 or 4 tickets for $20?

    • +1

Seems to be only in 2's or 4's

      • Was thinking the same! $3.33 a match if going solo is still insanely cheap - cheers for posting mate, you're a true legend 🎾🎾🎾

  • I bought 2 tickets already, can you buy 2 tickets again with the same acct?

    • Yep but you just cant get 2 tickets again to the same session

      • Do you know if I can buy it for someone? I don't think they will check the ID right?

        • I think you can through SFF site ok, but you might need to check ticketmaster. I didn't have to put each ticket holder name in but did have to put cardholder name.

  • Nice one, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks OP :) you got the SFF email a few hours before I did

Good deal, but really wish we could watch the Aus team or Djokovic play in Sydney :(

  • Great deal! Got tickets for Greece vs Canada. Thanks OP!

  • I bought the OFFER CODE but is anyone else having issues unlocking the offer on the Ticketmaster website?

    • Yeah It's a little difficult but definitely work - they had a link for step by step instructions in their confirmation email

  • I couldn't get the right page (the one where you could apply the special code) for all the matches. I got 2 for Italy v Germany and 2 for the Quarter Finals

    • Did you follow the instructions they send in the confirmation email? Worked fine for me.

      • Yep, I did - clicked the link from there but somehow I didn't get routed to the right page and there was not able to enter my code anywhere for certain sessions. Oh well

  • Tried to get tickets to Greece vs Canada but seems like the offer is not available for that session anymore. Will have to settle for France vs Italy

    • +2

I tried for Greece vs Canada too but they responded saying that session wasn't supposed to be on the list so they've removed.

    Also available through promotix https://www.promotix.com.au/event/CZmle1UTX

  • For anyone who has bought tickets, were all seats available for selection? I'm trying to book for Mon 1 Jan 5.30pm France v Germany but I already have friends who have seats in Section K2 Row FF, so I want to book next to them with the offer but don't want to risk paying for it and those seats not being part of the deal.

    • no worries, just buy full priced tickets and sit anywhere you would like.

    • You have to click through their special link

  • missed it

  • a bit late in asking this, but do these tickets enable us to travel on the sydney trains for free?

  • Anyone has any spare/unwanted tickets for Sydney pls?
