  • Pretty sweet deal IMO

  • +3

So, we just download Arevo app, create an account there (it asked for name, phone, email), then wait for an offer email that might come later?

    • No. Just sign up for Arevo, that's it. Don't need to wait for an email like the last deal.

      • Signed up for Arevo, but I'm not seeing the $10 deal in the app. So aren't we meant to wait for an email for the $10 Roadside Assist?
        I can see a 50% off however.

        • same here, how do we get the $10 RACV offer after signing up to Arevo?

          • @pooks: You just create an account then click the link to RACV's website that OP shared

        • +1

Just click the link in the deal. You don't need to do anything in the app.

      • Same here

    • +2

Important Note: This offer is only eligible to registered arevo users that have received the offer via email.

      • +1

        devastated

  • +1

Anyone know if they cover the driver or the car?
The family are renting a campervan next month, reckon this would cover the driver (just incase)?

    • I believe you need the more expensive plan for that. The $129 is basic one, that cover 1 designated car (you can switch once every 6 months or so, but have to nominate a rego)

      • Sign up for a couple of these at $10 each. 2 accounts gives you 4 possible cars every 6months (*allegedly can swap in a 6 month window).

    • -1

Only the total care plan extends to the driver itself (in any vehicle).

  • Perfect timing!
About to go on a road trip without roadside assistance for the first time, and although I probably won’t need it (and haven’t needed it on any of the same trip I’ve done 10+ times before), I feel better knowing it’s there aha

    Thanks OP!

    • Important Note: This offer is only eligible to registered arevo users that have received the offer via email.

  • +1

A must have if you have a Euro car or Craptiva.

  • Dumb qn. Does the road side assitance cover Electric vehicles?

  • Wow. I joined for $130 😵‍💫

    • +3

That's embarrassing. Time to hand back your complimentary Ozbargain Membership Card

      • +2

        Complimentary? I paid $50 for mine 😢

  • Oooh good deal Neil. Thanks for sharing. Really wished we had this in nsw

  • Just renewed two cars with RACV. Damn.

    • +6

I can't be the only one absolutely (profanity) sick of this new trend of companies offering discounts exclusively to "new customers" and doing slim to nothing for loyalty / legacy customers, or outright banning you from such offers.

      • +1

        new trend?

      • Don't disagree, but ironically by its nature this site actively promotes discriminatory discounting.

Interestingly, according to an article I read the other day, it seems many more people are shifting their insurance around each year. Way past time that consumers used their one real power imo.

        • Which is all well and good until you try and actually claim under any of the suncorp brands. Never ending nightmare.

  • +3

Join for $10 and get 5L of fuels once a day? Lol

  • +1

I signed up for AREVO and then used same email to sign up for RACV. Ticked the box saying "You will receive an invoice within 5 working days of submitting this form. Your RACV Roadside Assistance subscription will be activated once RACV receives your $10 payment." submitted the form.

Then on the next page it gives my reference number and says this "Thanks to arevo, you'll only pay $10 for your first year of subscription (normally $129). You will receive an invoice for $10 after submitting this form, within 5 working days."

Is that all? Have not received any email from Arevo or RACV so far.

    • +1

But it hasn't been 5 working days?

      • I thought we dont need to wait for an email as per the description which says "This deal is back again and now available via a link (DON'T NEED TO WAIT FOR AN EMAIL) as they've sorted out their previous signup issues."

That could be made clear as we need to wait for an invoice via email from RACV. Thanks

        • +1

I think the "don't need to wait for an email part" is stating the actual sign-up form (which we just completed). Assuming previously even that step was manual, but at least now there's a form readily available to be filled out.

    • I am on the same boat - does it mean we need to wait for the invoice @neil?

    • -2

Important Note: This offer is only eligible to registered arevo users that have received the offer via email.

  • What if you're already an RACV member (but have no roadside only insurance) ? Can we get this as well?

    • Says:

Offer is valid for new Emergency Roadside Assistance subscribers only.

So by the way that's written.. yes?

  • VIC only

  • I'm getting the error "Field does not contain a valid name"

    • Same

Edit: fixed it by removing the forward slash and just adding "U" in front of my unit mumber

  • -6

This offer is only eligible to registered arevo users that have received the offer via email.

    • +2

well that puts an end to that…..

    • +1

910 clicks so far! Many more clicks to come!

That's a lot of missed business if offer is only for users that have received the offer via email!

    • oh well…

    • Worst design in regards to seeing personal information. No way to find out or update email address and profile section.

  • +8

Really??? So I handed over my Personal Details to be told that this deal is NOW Targeted (Wasn't when I signed up) and I'm ineligible because I didn't get the email AFTER I signed up …….. aaaaaaand I provided genuine details because it's to do with a Roadside Assistance policy and not a typical signup where I could use alias details. What a great way to harvest details!

EDIT: To the people negging, I have every rights to rant about this. I haven't negged this deal as it's still a good deal for those that are eligible, and because Neil has apologised, so please kindly save your neg for a different occasion - Thank you!

    • +3

I agree here. I would have preferred not to have given my details…..

  • Can I call them every day for fuel?

  • So…definitely Vic only?

  • Bit late. signed up for 24/7 for 2 yrs service for the $110

  • +2

Page no longer exists. Seems the poorly thought out deal has been dumped. Arevo no arrivo?

    • +1

Yep and then they panicked and claimed it was a targeted offer

  • Gone :( :') dhdjjdjd fuc

  • Do we know if signing up with Android, or Apple device will affect the success of targeting?

    • I use Android and occasionally use it for a fuel check.

      • nice to kno. i will give it a go on andi

  • +2

Signed up for areevo a while ago when the deal was first posted, and finally got targeted for it today.

    • Yup same.

      All aboarddddddd

    • Same here. I have filled up the form on link recvd via email. Hopefully the payment form comes in nxt 5 days.

    • Any luck on receiving that $10 payment form?

      • haven't received my payment form yet, signed up around a week ago

        • I just signed up for it, did you finally get the payment form?

          • @Ziggy28: Nope, still no payment form. Might have to call them

I am receiving RACV advertising though so that's a plus…..

            • @edumacation: Same here, no payment form, but getting racv spam.

              • +1

@Fishballs: I received payment email with Bpay details. However, Bpay reference starts with RACV-0000-XXXXXX. Bank's Bpay platform doesn't allow the use of alphabets. Tried 0000XXXXXX or just XXXXXX but nothing works. Anyone found a way to pay?

                • @ykwon10: I received the same, doesn't have enough numbers without the "RACV" portion (needs 2 or 4 more numbers to work). They said they'd send a paper version also but I feel like that would have the same details

                • @ykwon10: Same. Anyone tried contacting arevo?

                  • +1

@mlburnian: I received another email saying they screwed up and sent through the correct BPAY details

      • +1

I received another email saying they screwed up and sent through the correct BPAY details just paid $10 now.

        • Did u contact them or they sent the email themselves? I didn't receive the payment email after registering via the link in my email.

  • I have the app but it only ask for mobile number and not email to signup? how to use email to sign up?
