70000 QF is best as it can be sold for $700 or more.
$500 jbhifi card worth is either $475 or $450 sometimeAgree.. what's stopping you just drawing down the facility for just over 2 months then repaying?
Not sure if that is best….
Copied from website..
70,000 bonus Qantas Points50,000 bonus points when you spend $6,000 on eligible purchases within 90 days from approval and 20,000 bonus points when you keep your card for over 12 months. Plus annual fee of $350
Ok that makes the qf deal not very attractive.
Ouch - only 50k points for $6k spend + $350 fee.
Pass
Not that one.
For ready credit

Yeah but that attracts $199 establishment fee.
does it mean I'll
keep a total of $1000 in that account for two months
then I'll get $500 JB GC, minus the $99 fee?" a debit balance for up to 2 months" - what does it mean though?
You can check the comments here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/798039. Same type of offer.
There will be interest accrued at a rate of 8.9% p.a.
Debit balance means outstanding balance that you need to pay off.
After reading the comments on the previous offer, this is not a credit card. It is a personal loan. You borrow $1000 and transfer it to another one of your other bank accounts. I am not sure how to best avoid the interest fees. Can I pay the $1000 back immediately?
Pay back $999.
Pay interest on $1.Is the reward invalid if I pay back everything?
@spiderbite88: before 2 months, yes.
How does this work? Can I apply then pay of the account straight away?
Check the comments here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/798039. Same type of offer.
Offer exclusions: This offer is only available once per customer.
Does that mean you can get this bonus if you used the previous ones?
maintain a debit balance for up to 2 months.
Even if its just 1 cent
Do you have to keep the line of credit open for 5 years? Does it effect your credit rating and borrowing capacity?
The $500 jb hifi deal makes sense as it attract lesser establishment fee of $99 + interest accrued on the balance you transfer.
I thought NAB bought out citi's accounts in Australia?
They did but it's business as usual until NAB decided what to do with each product. They have integrated Citibank's saving and transaction accounts to NAB recently.
Stuff up the form submission. Will they call back ? Or just automated?
Can get the ff points and this jb deal stack?
So take out $1000 loan, pay off $900 (just to be safe) - then hold for 2 months, receive $500GC and then pay off remaining $100?
Should cost $99 establishment fee, plus ~$1.50 in interest over the two months for the $100?
I am planning to pay off $999 and keep $1 for 2 months. Would I still be eligible for the JB voucher?
People reported from previous deals that there is a minimum amount must repay each month. If your balance is below that limit then you are practically paid off the loan. So no bonus if paid off too early.
Good to know thanks
How do I actually pay it off? I've transfered $1000, now I am trying to transfer $900 back. I can't see an option to open a debit acount.
Anyone else tried to sign up to the JB offer and then when you get to the part of requesting transfer amount the minimum you can request is $5000?
That's no good!! I thought 1000 is minimum.
Are you sure the $5000 is not minimum limit? I applied for the flybuys offer and $5000 was the minimum limit.
I didn’t request the transfer during application tho.
5000 ready credit but 1000 BT. Works for me
Is minimum $5000 or $1000? I would prefer take out $1000
Will this hurts credit score - how badly compare to creditcard?
It's a loan so just like credit card check.
This not so popular deal has extended to 24/01/2024
I've made a $1000 balance transfer to a savings account with another bank. Is that eligible? Or must I transfer to a credit card account with another bank?
How do you pay it back to the account? BPAY?
Good question. As the monthly statement has not arrived, I managed to payback by transferring to existing citi transaction n transfer from this to lending account.
Can you explain how you did this? I am trying to pay back before the first statement
I had the same question. I tried paying with Bpay, but the ref# could not be accepted. Did you find a way to pay prior to the first statement?
The rep on the phone said to pay using BPAY with this biller code:
Biller Code: 49528
Account reference: (your account number)Did that work for you? When I tried it didn't accept it?
@Thenephilium: Yep took 3 days but yes funds arrived in the Citibank account
@spiderbite88: @spiderbite88 Thanks - I had assumed the credit card number was account number. The number listed in my Citi account worked however :)
They also have a 70000 QFF points promo
