i think there is an indoor part of the boat where you won't be freezing.

Is oceanview room worth the extra $$

    • +7

in my experience, yes 100% worth it

Australian marine algae is not good enough to visit NZ harbours! oooh

Saw it as a problem a mile away and got a cash refund before it sailed thankfully, sad I won't be getting as cheap a deal next time but meh

      • How did you know that the ship wouldn't have its hull overhauled prior to sailing to NZ?

  • +1

    What ship is this?

    • Some old hand-me-down ship. This one is 15 years old which is brand new by P&O standards.

      • +1

That is modern by P&O standards. I remember the Fairstar was 40 years old by the time it was retired.

How close to NZ will it get?

    • +2

Off the coast and then to Tasmania I'd imagine

    I don't see these prices

    Shows as $352 for me

    • Looks like it's all sold out not, bloody fast too!

  • And here I was thinking I was going to have the iT's nOt oZb RrP crowd because it wasn't $25 a day lmao

Very cheap for cheap ass brand

But once you go on RC, Princess and Carnival you never go back to P&O

    • Princess, Carnival and P&O are all owned by Carnival Corporation and I find they're all pretty much the same. P&O Australia just uses old Princess ships.
Royal Caribbean/Celebrity are definitely a lot more premium and comfortable, I would pick RC over any Carnival/P&O any day

      • They are owned by the same but not the class

P&O are older ships indeed but the food and entertainment are very basic. I mean if you don't care what you eat or watch the shows that's fine. But it'll always be a budget cruiseline.

Personally I find Princess to have better food atleast in the seafood range and fruits

I just got back from basically the reverse of this. Did Auckland to Melbourne over 5 nights. The food is mediocre but the service is good and overall it's a fun experience and a fairly cheap holiday. I'd probably pick a different cruise line if I cruise again but it's not a bad deal.

  • Would need another $200 off to consider P&O.

    Any Brisbane deals?

  • Will you get a refund or date exchange just in case something comes up?
