  You could say "Price when new: $2,299", although I, like most OzBargainers are smart enough to work out that $2,299 when new is only indicative of manufacturers original ricing.

  If I was going to send $999 on a washing machine I'd want more than 12 months warranty.

  2 year warranty still not good enough for a $999 washing machine. I remember Ariston used to have 5 year warranty in the past when new. Some Korean brand now offering 10 years warranty on specific part but not whole anyway.

  To xyzzy, according to ACL(Australian Consumer Law) you have the consumer guarantee. even after the warranty it is still possible ask the retailer to repair, replace, refund your fautly product. Please see below
