Description says 6TB but the photo shows 1TB
Once you add it to cart the photo changes to 6TB
It could just be a bug but worth a try

The non-sale price listed is $146.43, so there's no way they're actually intending to sell a 6TB drive on this listing.
Poor guys
They’re probably gonna lose a few hundred bucks in transaction fees depending on the order volume if they refund and a bunch more if they honor
It looks like many of their IronWolf listings have the same title and description.
Says 6TB ST6000NT001 on the invoice. Seems pretty clear its 6TB.
They won't supply it, so it doesn't really matter.
Doesn't seem like a particularly large company so they aren't going to swallow losses for goodwill because no one will be buying from them again anyway, likely.
Interesting story about Telecom shop. I ordered replacement ear pads for my plantronics voyager.
The items never came, I complained and they sent me new headphones instead and asked for the old ones back.
I was plenty impressed.
I had some old Plantronics that I loved but one day there was a connection issue and it caused the headphones to get into a bootloop. I recorded an audio clip and sent to them for their interest and they sent me a replacement headset that was about 5 years newer model, I’m pretty sure I got to keep (and sell) the old pair.
I'm not surprised, they get really good reviews online.
The part number listed on the page is the 4TB drives
Manufacturer Part Number : ST1000VN008
[edit] bought 4 anyway
The part number is the 1TB model, which is around the price these are selling for. It's the 1TB model.
Sorry you’re right! I did a quick google and the results showed a 4TB drive.
The part listed on my invoice is ST6000NT001, which is the 6TB drive. Surely they wont ship a different item.
I'm expecting a polite email tomorrow "sorry we fu#*ed up, would you like the 1TB or the order cancelled "
ahh well.
refunded, very polite
misleading info, I wont risk it.
notabargain
Tempted but don't want the hassle of having to send back the product for refund
Risky, might end up with a 1TB hdd for over $125 plus shipping that you cant send back
Nothing a credit card chargeback won't fix.
Nor PayPal with screenshots of the add, purchase confirmation info etc.
I've had a dodgy experience with this place - ordered something, they sent the item with bits missing and repackaged in simple foam wrap (instead of a box). When I contacted them about missing pieces they said to go back to manufacturer and fobbing me off not wanting to deal with me.
The manufacturer was pretty good who then sent the proper bits to make it work.
Was it actually their fault or the manufacturer?
The manufacturer sent the entire kit with all the accessories, while what I received initially was like half of the kit and the bit I needed wasn't included.
Mistakes happen, and the telecomshop was cheaper than elsewhere, so I should have seen that as a sign perhaps?
My issue is the aftersales care (lack thereof).
The manufacturer is irrelevant, the sales contract is with the retailer. They're solely responsible for following ACL.
sounds like a typical dropshitter dropshipper
I can see it now …
buyer : 'You sent me the wrong item, it's a 1Tb drive and not the 6Tb'
seller : For any product questions please contact the manufacturer.
haha there's going to be riot here.
It's notabargain @notabogan
Seems like a waste of everyone's time
It sure was
Ordered three. Let's see what happens
Nah small company like this they won’t honour it
Pitchforks everyone! 😛
OOS
Called the company this morning, they aren't going to be honouring the deal, as it's a mistake that was meant to be rectified last week. They will be refunding all the orders within the next few days.
Lame.
These guys are dodgy as.
I received the email regarding the mistake (fine)
I received an email with a refund invoice on Monday the 4th
Now the 8th I’ve received emails from PayPal saying the refund hasn’t gone through….
The refund of $517.44 AUD from The Telecomshop PTY Ltd is taking longer than expected
The refund for your transaction failed
A refund for the following transaction from The Telecomshop PTY Ltd wasn't processed successfully.
Same boat here mate. I'll be on the phone to them at 9:00 a.m.
The part number seems to be a 1TB drive.
