The vacuum is top-notch - I love it! That said, I don't know if I'd want another attachment with a consumable. There are already mops, brushes and hepa filters to consider with the vacuum. Surely this bin station could have been designed without the need for a disposable/consumable bag.

Bought it last week without knowing it needs disposable bag. Very disappointed

Pretty much all auto empty stations require it… they gotta empty into something. I've easily got more than 6 months out of a bag by emptying it.

I’ve thought about this and wondered if it would be possible to mod the bag by stitching some velcro or a zip somewhere to enable emptying and reuse ?

When I get mine I'll order some viomi s9 bags as someone in the original lubluelu deal mentioned they might be compatible.

      • @Vavoom - did the viomi bags work?

        • +1

The width is correct but they are slightly too long by 15mm.
Easy fix though. You'll need to cut 15mm off the bottom of the cardboard then cut the corners off this new base. The dimensions of these cuts are 5mm from either edge and 11mm high from the bottom. This will allow it to fully sit into the slot.

          Shitty paint cutting guide

Use a nice sharp cardboard cutter, let the cutter do the work (don't press down too much) and cut away from yourself. Took me a few minutes to do.

Lubluelu sells 3 bags for $34 and I got 10 bags off aliexpress for $19.34 so I think this was well worth my time.

Alternatively, I found this aliexpress listing for sd80 bags https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006421706213.html if you don't want to go to all my effort haha

I have this unit bought for a SL60d (Which i have two upstairs and downstairs). I got one of this to try downstairs here is what i found
    1. You will need to reset you SL60d as by default its going to look for base station that charges via the front connectors and for the empty station it needs the ones on the back. Just sticking it in will not work as it will start a vaccum session but on return will look for charging station to dock on front. The changover from normal dock to empty station took me few tries, before i decided to reset remove the SL60d from the app and redo with Empty station. I was expecting it to just work but i guess you get what you pay for.
    2. the bag is supposed to last 60days, i find often the SL60d will get complain about clogged when trying to unload. Could be just us and our cats hair. I need to do some testing on this.
    3. As we dont use mopping function i bought the larger no mop dust bin for the SL60d, but those dont have any electronics so will not work with this empty station. As from point 1 the empty station needs to charge SL60d via back (dust bin side).

note it just my view YMMV. all aside for the price a LIDAR system for the price i got it is quite good. But now other brand names are dropping in price.

I am using a xiaomi gen 1 robotic vacuum. I need to clear the hair from the roller brush every time. I think this auto-empty station won't solve the hair problem?

    • The device deals with hair better then the Gen 1 Xiaomi. However you are right any hair that gets tangled up like my Gen 1 Xiaomi did, this won't help with.

      • its not so much tangling as there is a little tool to clear that, its the dust box gets full on one run of our ground floor. With the dust box full i think the empty station has a harder time sucking out the collected dust. I suppose one way would be to run the vacuum more regularly so one sweep dose not fill the sl60d dust box. I wish they had a larger dust box with charging electronics.

This is the one i bough but its not compatible with the empty station, a 600ml dustbox (no mopping gives more space for dry dust collection) but as you can see no charging pins. Works fine with normal base station though.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Lubluelu-Replacement-SL60D-Robot-V…

As we dont use mop function it would be nice to get a bigger dust box that works with the empty station, the 600ml dustbox in link dose have a port to dock with an empty station (i.e for dust to be sucked out of it) but no charging pins. Very odd design to have dust empty port but no charging pins.

        • Surely the solution is to just run it once a day and it will auto empty easily?

Especially as you can tell it where you want to clean.

Was about to buy it but felt like a I that lazy that cannot unload a vaccum cleaner once a day that takes seconds.

  • Anyone know if these come in white?

  • We've been hanging to get one for years after our OLD iRobot (circa 2013) died in 4 years…..but were too gun shy, however for the deals in the last few months on this one - ITS amazeballs!
For quick and nasty help of not worrying about vac'ing the hallway/kitchen/laundry (wood and tile) plus a little carpet work - we're amazed about it.

The Border-collie hair is GONE - and when it hit the foot mat near the back door with tons of hair in it - all gone!!!

  • We received the SL60D last week at the $210 BF price. Very impressive performer.

No hesitation in ordering the dock juse now. Thanks, @theonlyCBC

  • Code not working

  • Anyone else ordered this only to be advised a couple of weeks later that it's a pre-sale, so wait your turn?
