Make sure you always keep the box and inner packaging of branded ornaments - to both safely pack them away each year (this is very important for their longevity) and they retain more value and collectability.
If they don't come in a box find or make one. It's the best storage option.
For hanging breakable ornaments I recommend floral wire or pipe cleaners.
