• Why don't they sell white version :(

• +1

I heard from Virgin mobile that this is the only colour it comes in for the 4G version, and 16gb is the only one they have for now… but that can change in time… so keep a look out… :)

• AFAIK, there are only 2 colours for the 4G version; Gray and Black

$240 extra is a lot for just 4G. Especially considering the plans that are available don't have that much data included in them.

• +4

I think you'll find there is an extra Gig (2) of RAM as well…

• Maybe. But how much is data access during peak hours in the CBD worth to you?

• But don't forget, this is the expense of battery life

• Your title is confusing. Double dip shipping?

• That was my mistake, apologies.

• +3

This isn't a bargain at all. It's a deal, but not a bargain.

• +2

anyone found any deals for the 3g version? was expecting a price drop but hasnt happened yet? only need 16gb

• +7

where were you for the past few months? It has dropped till you can get it for 500 now.

• +1

where? everywhere i go its 499 + shipping which is not sub $500

• Yep, best is around the $500 mark right now

• I believe that the current best price for a 3G version is the red one from Kogan, $499 + $19 delivery, so long as you don't mind the colour of course.

• +2

Can anyone find me White 16 gig 3g Under $500

Thanks

• +2

Yep looking for the same thing myself. Don't really care about 4G. I rarely browse the net on my mobile phone and if/when i have to do it, 3G is decent enough for that.
White SGS3 3G version for under $500 and i might actually buy it.

• Should have jumped on the 478 Kogan deal a while back.

• didnt that last like 5 mins

• Like first time sex hey?

You snooze you lose I guess.

I wouldn't consider this a bargain. Just because its now available does not make it a bargain. Unsure of the postage but http://bonzerdeals.com.au/ have a similiar price and has been on offer before Kogan. At the moment you are paying a premium on the 4g. I suspect the price to drop soon.

• I would have to agree…it is not very inspiring when one could get 32gb SIII for $583 delivered.

• Useless if you are with Optus or a partner carrier eg Virgin or Woolworths mobile on a prepaid plan as they won't provide 4G

• holy crap $770 for a 4g s3. thats kinda unreasonable. i'm sure it will drop pretty quickly in the coming months.

• unfortunately early adopters pays premium, but then if you must be amongst the first to have it and have deep pockets, so be it. I recalled seeing Kogan putting up Note2 for $729+ shipping in the early release, price came down preety quick if you can wait.

Beta Testers sounds better than Early Adopters.

• Early adopters is much better english then Beta Testers. Its already at consumer stage and no longer a Beta product

• Except the actual term is 'early adopters', so what sounds better, according to you, is redundant.

While I personally prefer iOS over android, this is the same as ford vs. Holden. Some people will be loyal to one or the other while the accusing anyone that uses the opposing OS of being fanboys.

This seems really overpriced for such a modest update though 4g may be quick (my last speed test was 21.91mbps download/5.52mbps upload) but for the majority of the time most people will use wifi or 3G anyway.

So are you better off spending $250 extra for a moderate upgrade and faster downloads or would you prefer to spend that money upgrading your Internet speed through your provider and get faster wifi?

i dont refer anything…i used both and i look at $$$ perspective.
functions wise..of course pros and cons for both.

• +1

why not get 16gb i…

Stopped reading. Seriously, you trolls have to up your game a bit - this is just getting old and boring.

•
why not get 16gb iphone

Lets see…
* Bigger screen
* Removable battery
* Expandable storage
* Android (widgets anyone?)
* Android (background apps anyone?)
* Android (open system anyone?)

• a funny question: does anyone know if this 4g phone is the exact size as the normal one?

• S3 i9300 - 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm, 133g
S3 i9305 - 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm, 131g

Same dimensions, 2g lighter somehow.

• Not sure on who Samsung sources their parts from but 2 phones of the same model could easily weight 2 grams different if say the batteries, screens or chipsets were sourced from different companies.

I'm sure the weight is just an indication and not exact.

Cheaper at thinkofus $740 + $21 shipping. http://www.thinkofus.com.au/Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i9305-4G-LTE-p…

• The advert on the front page of Kogan.com says they have the worlds best price, wonder if that was the case when they listed the item or if they were wrong right from the start.

Thinkofus also list both black and grey where Kogan only have the black.

• Was about to post a deal for the price drop lol - price updated here but chances are no one will see it.
