I used to be the same until I started getting more that were listed here on Ozbargain…..and too good an offer to pass up.
Very soon ended up with 11 (including steak knives) and needed somewhere to store them properly + capacity to support my new addiction.
The cost of all my knives does not come close to the price of this block 🤣
That's 19 too many
Bamboo likes to suck in water from my experience. Not sure if it is a quality thing and whether more premium bamboo products are better but every single bamboo made item I owned that lives near water gets waterlogged and starts to go dark and dirty. Just something to be wary of, also 20 knives is super excessive for a residential kitchen, I consider myself an enthusiastic cooker of things and I am doing just fine with my Avanti 7pc set.
Is this a better design then? Says its a deal but I can't see the % discount:

Honestly I wouldn't go near bamboo for anything that might be near water.
is this the one where mould grows inside the block?
Just be aware knife blocks are an excellent breeding ground for bad bacteria you then transfer directly to your food, personally I got rid of mine a long time ago and went the knife magnetic strip.
Good food hygiene negates this - wash them and then dry them before putting them back in the block.
Only if you dont clean it. I’d imagine fridges can get pretty gross if you dont clean them either
Didn't sell out within 3 minutes like the other Amazon posts, guess that's our new yardstick for how good these deals are.
FYI, reg price via ccc is $85. Looks like a good buy if you need it.
Do people actually own 20 knives? Or even 10? I barely own 5 lol
