  • Not a bad price. What's the difference between the two tripods? They look remarkably similar in terms of specs.

    • F38 has a quick release system, but Zero Y is compatible with Arca Swiss Plates. Get the Zero Y if you already have something like a Peak Design Capture Clip attached to your camera.

      • Ah thanks. Have you got the F38? What's the quick release system like if you do?

        • +1

The quick release system is very similar to the Peak Design Capture Clip where you just push a button in and slide the camera off.

        • Go for Arca Swiss that’s more widely compatible than F38. You won’t be tied to a closed system. You’ll find a ton of accessories for tripods which are Arca compatible than F38. For example a L bracket.

        • I actually went with Zero Y as it is compatible with Arca Swiss which is compatible with my Peak Design Camera Plate

  • This is a dupe for peak design carbon fibre tripod. I paid $315 USD last year for this and thought it was great value for money at that price.

  • Damn that's light. 1.1kg tripod with 6kg load capacity.

  • Haipie is apparently the better one out of all of these.

    • Was weighing these two up, ultimately went with the Heipi though it's a little heavier and dearer, because of the abillity to 1) remove ball mount to make it a little more compact to strap on the outside of a bag (2) the mini tripod means I don't have to bring an additional gorillapod along for quick selfies/b-roll

      • Yes, I have been debating the same and checking reviews, I have ordered a very compact one which is yet to arrive. I will evaluate that and decide if I want to buy the Heipie.

  • +1

For anyone looking to get the Zero Y version it’s now $329, with a 20% off coupon that stacks with the $70 coupon

    • thanks! couldn't resist after that

  • I have been watching the price of these on Aliexpress and just ordered the Coman Zero Y tripod for equivalent of AUD265 after Black Friday coupons. Hopefully it’s the same thing/quality without the mark up.
