  • Expect website issues since this is their first sale like this…hopefully I’m wrong

    • No issues at all.

      • except no 15% off? do you see it?

        • I think it's applied when you check out.

          • @Junky56: The discount disappears once I get to the payment options. Anyone else have the same issue?

            • +1

@OutOfTime: nup, works fine for me, just bought something

i only saw the discount once i got to the checkout page as junky56 mentioned above

Doesn't look like it will work for WA until midnight, discount is reflected in cart but removes when selecting Perth store…

    • Same issue

    • same

    • Same in QLD

  • +1

Ordered two of these on 50% off (original deal)

Sadly the discounts don't stack, so just 50% off RRP.

    • they sort of stack if you buy the bundle - shelf with inserts. the price of the bundle is total of the individual items (half off for inserts), and then 15% off the total.
I just ordered the 2x4 with 4 inserts: 2 drawers and 2 doors.

  • +1

discount is removed for me if I select deliver to door to deliver to home…

    • +1

Are you in a time zone that isn't currently past midnight?

      • yes…

        • +2

So in that case, wait till it is past midnight….

          • +2

@Zooee: Which is weird since their terms and conditions say Sydney time it starts. Oh well

            • @Japius: Yeh, but I can see how it could just be set depending on which state the store you pick is in. I'll let you know in 35 mins when I try place an order in qld

            • @Japius: Yep just used 5 gift cards, and no worries in qld

          • +1

@Zooee: this is it. it works now

          • @Zooee: Legend, yes works now

  • Save everything in the cart and put all gift card from woolies. Good black friday.

  • +1

Works for QLD now, no issues with website whatsoever 20 gift card redemptions later - who could've imagined there could be a pain-free Black Friday sale bonanza

(or maybe everyone is just asleep)

    • Think its so silent because everyone is making eBay and Amazon purchases. Or MyCar mess.

Anyone knows how long till the gift cards value revert back to the card? 4 hours? My basket crashed whilst I was trying to add 106 gift cards to pay for my cart

    • Saw earlier in the thread @ BarneyKB said it takes 48 hours. Not sure if true or not

Also what are you buying that needs 106 gift cards hahaha

      • Furnishing an apartment. I read that. Ouch 48 hours. I should give them a call at 9am tomorrow.

      • 48 hrs is for activating card (and it looks like it's not the case this time)
if you redeemed a card and haven't finalised the order, value should revert back to card in 4 hrs

  • Thanks! Just saved $156 in discount plus $60 bonus through Woolies gift cards

  • Their payment system is busted.

  • Can anyone add anything to cart? It keeps failing me. Also is 15% at checkout? Cause alot of items are showing a discount.

  • Seem won't stack with the 50% Kallax

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/812232

  • anyone got any luke to get the difference back?

    • I tried, they insisting on accepted order date from 10th Nov will eligible for the price difference back

      • thanks mine was bought last month

  • Just visited Adelaide store and got 15% refund as store credit from past purchases without questions. The earliest receipt was from 31/10.

  • 15% off isn’t showing for me or anything. I’m logged in.

    • Shows in checkout

      • I was using the ikea app and it doesn’t show all the way to payment. But I’m on the website now and that shows the sale.

  • Apart from ladda battery, any other recommendations?

  • Anyone having trouble with delivery? Keeps telling me some products are unavailable for delivery (doesn't tell me which ones) but they're all showing as available for delivery & I've tested removing each of them & still no luck. It will let me click & collect so they're in store. Can home delivery be booked out…?

    • I think their delivery system has crashed. There were slots earlier in the day but I didn't checkout to exchange my ultimate cards to egiftcards, then all evening the delivery option was not available on the app or website, even though the product page said delivery available.

    • Same

Just got my 15% back on a refund card on my purchase made last week. It was super straightforward at IKEA Tempe.

    • Didn't work at Marsden Park IKEA for item purchased 2 months ago even though they have 365 days of return policy.

I was asked to call the call centre and there will be fees for take away and there may not be 15% discount on product I purchased. However they said upto 2 week they do honor discount so you are lucky to buy a week ago.. !

My lounge is too big to undo and redo so I won't waste my time on that one… !

  • Been trying to checkout all day. Metro area. All items are 'Available for home delivery' but it returns 'there was a problem getting available delivery times. Please reload and try again.'

Support via chat is 'Unfortunately we're busier than usual at the moment. Waiting times are long."

    Hoping they extend the discount

  • I'm trying to do a click and collect but it won't let me collect from the store :/
Tells me to a delivery to a parcel point for $50 which I don't want.

    • Had a chat with support.
It turns out that when the item is in a low quantity (but still available), instore click and collect is no longer an option even if it is specifically displayed as available for instore click and collect. This is very confusing so support kindly agreed to discount the pickup point fee.

      • I ordered a few items a week ago for click and collect. All said stock but when I picked up, they told me there was no stock of one item, which happened to be the main item I wanted, the rest was filler.

  • Does anyone know how many GCs can be used per transaction online?

  • Very strange, trying to order a single bed bundle which includes slats and under bed drawers… go though to the checkout and it says it is availalble for pickup but not delivery.
But it allows me to add everything individually and order for delivery…

    • Yes. It is stupid. So I have to pick up my whole order myselft. They deliver some but I don't know the criteria.

  • If i exchange my ULTIMATE CARD to Ikea e-gft card
Are they ready to use straight away?
Or is there some wait time…

    • +1

I did mine and it worked straight away, just make sure you confirm your order before redeeming the IKEA gift cards on the check out page, if you redeem them but leave the page it will take a few hours for those cards to be available again, learned my lesson last night.

  • +1

Went to place my order online for click and collect and they've disabled click and collect at my store even though the items are in stock. No matter what i put it says click and collect unavailable. Soooo glad I bought a tonne of gift cards for this :/

    • If the stock is low, like less than 3 or something, they disable C&C. Or something stupid like that.

      • I tried about a hundred different items and they all have plenty of stock listed. It was working all day today, but they have since completely disabled it from Marsden Park, NSW :(

        • +1

Its safe to say there is a huge backlog. I tried to C&C and it gives some time on Friday evening as earliest slot.

          • @ATangk: I don’t mind waiting. But it’s pretty poor form to remove the click and collect option before the sale has ended.

            • @UndeclaredFreak: There is still tomorrow, if you want to just go instore tomorrow.

              • @ATangk: Thanks for that! Silly me thought it ended today. I didn't want to have to go in and brace the crowd, but will have to now. Thanks again :)

                • +2

@UndeclaredFreak: Tbh the crowds weren't that bad today at Marsden Park. Just like every other Sunday + maybe 10%.

  • Shopped about $3000.( After discount ) with Ikea gift card( WWs's ikea gift card now is about 10% off) . Cheer.

    • Where can i get the ww ikea gift cards for 10% off?

      • Wouldnt exactly call rewards points 10% off, the best cash discount is the 6%, which may work out better if you don't shop at woolies, or know how to get 5% off wish gift cards (seniors, etc.)

        • How is the 5% off Wish GC relevant for this? You won't be able to buy the Ikea GC at Woolies using Wish GC.

          • @delfredo: Ikea gift cards from Woolworths gives 20x EDR points, so $100 gives you 2000 points which is $10. So you could think of it as getting 9.1% off, but you can actually buy Wish GC for 5% off, which means you're only getting a realised 4.1% off face value.

You can buy IKEA gift cards for 6% off at giftcardexchange.

            • +1

@ATangk: Your maths is wrong. You can't just take the 5% off like that to get to 4.1% discount on the card purchase.
For spending $100, he gets $100 at Ikea and $10 at woolworths.
Spending $100 to buy Ikea gift cards at 6% off nets you $106.38 at ikea. (just an example, I'm not sure what denominations they provide)
Which of those two scenarios would you prefer?

I would go a third option and take the 2000 woolworth points and convert to 1000 QFF for even more value.

            • @ATangk: Don't think it works that way…

If you have access to 5% Wish GC then 2000 points is worth $9.50.
So you're paying $100 to get $109.50 value which works out to be around 8.7% off.

  • Should be working now for click and collect and delivery.

Note during promotions I do not recommend using gift cards unless you are sure you're going to get the goods.

If not your stuck with gift cards.

I mean with Wish and Coles Myers this isn't an issue but how often do people go to ikea and have thousands of dollars of gift cards.

    • IKEA used to take 48 hours to activate gift cards, which was a real struggle for impulse buying. Now, I just exchanged my gift cards whilst waiting at checkout. This is why the 6% off gift card or the previous 15% off digital ultimategiftcard (home, student) versions are good because they're instant.

These days I'd rather buy good used Ikea furniture to save myself 4hrs of assembling work. Ikea furniture is a nightmare to put together, and it's great to buy cheaper from someone who has already wasted half a day on it.

  • Still waiting for my click and collect order to be ready for this.

    • Didn’t you select a time at checkout?
