Yes, especially at this price.
Amazon description says 8000w, obviously a typo. It's 800w.
Good deal but just purchased 800w Bissell Powerlifter Pet Vacuum Cleaner (1521F) for $179 delivered via Kogan First. May not be as good as this, but it's a good brand with good reviews, and was more in our budget. It also has attachments I like for upholstery, etc.
Paid 499 for ours and even then thought it was a good deal lol

Should i buy this one or dyson animal origin? Any advise pls. Thanks
This.
I haven't used that model in particular, but I had a DC40 and DC65.
The best thing about the dyson is that they have a bypass mechanism so in upright mode the hose is not used for suction at all. The canister has a direct connect to the floorhead. The Shark relies on a hose like most every other upright. But almost everything is better than the Dyson, the build, fittings, rollers, etc.
The Dyson might be more easy for a child or someone who is slight to use, but they tend to suck themselves onto the floor even so.
Thanks mate for info!
We have owned Shark and Dyson, Shark hands down. Will never go back to a Dyson, and yes i mean go back because thats what you are doing!
TGG floor staff was offering this for 250$ yesterday [VIC]. wait for their Black Friday catalog I reckon.
I got Shark NZ801 for 355$Their Black Friday sale already started… you sure it was this exact model they were offering for $250? They don't have it listed on their site.
yes it was 250$
Is this a great all around choice even for a family of 3 in a 3 bed room house without pets? Or is it overkill? What would be the options for this scenario?
TIA
For this price, its a great vacuum.
What floor coverings do you have?
If your house is mostly hard surfaces, then this might be a bit overkill. On the other hand, I think $300 for a brand name vac is pretty good.
nah i think its fine
Fantastic vacuum, suction is miles ahead of most. My only gripe with it is it's very heavy. I always use it in "lift-away" mode so all the weight isn't on one hand.
I paid around $400-500 and that was a great deal
Do yourself a favour and get one of these to go with it: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285388293024?hash=item427277c3a0…
Makes a huge difference.
Still available (price slightly up to $309.99).
Is the stair /upholstery brush a powered turbo head? Or just using airflow in order to spin the head?
Air powered, but they all do that for the accessories.
Which is where the cordless ones shine.
I'm not a fan of the air powered ones, doesn't work well on my stairs.
One of the best vacuum cleaners out there. I feel like it's even better than the overhyped Miele C3 series
