Was looking for a powerpoint with USB and found this one. Last time it was $13.99 but now it has a USB-C too.

CSA: Having just installed a bunch of 240V / USB A+C points through our home (replacements vs new build) … the learning was some existing cavities were not deep enough for the brand / flavour we selected (Clipsal). It meant a few needed to be different brand.
What I don't like about this Gerintech product design is the 'double ring' around the physical power switches. They just get filled with gunk that can't be removed over time as fingers slide up and down over the switch.
Can you pop off the cover and clean? I know not ideal and annoying, but it can be done…
Had these installed a while ago, the USB C port charges slowly making it useless.
I don't really understand the usb in GPOs. Surely USB progresses in charging speeds too fast for how long you want your GPO to last.
I'd be more concerned about how dodgy their design looks. See the pic showing the rear of the unit, with all those cooling slots? Those slots won't stop small cockroaches.
Cockroaches love to live inside warm electronics, and they piss on the electronics too, and their urine is highly corrosive. These units seem to be designed to fail, hopefully they won't cause a fire inside your wall when they do.
Lmao, strangest comment I've read in a while.
When microwave ovens went from a mechanical (knob-type) timer to clock-type timers, cockroaches became the most likely cause of a microwave oven failing. The warmth of the vacuum-flourescent display made a nice home for the roaches. The manufacturers eventually learned, over a few years, and made the microwave displays coackroach-proof.
I've opened quite a few electronic devices and found evidence of such infestations. Thin PCB tracks usually get corroded away, and it's not cost-effective to repair them, as there are usually many damaged tracks. Which is fortunate for me, I wouldn't want that job!

At $20, you just swap out the GPO every few years for the latest USB standard…
…in every country except Australia.
Our weird and unique rules about electrical work make this unfeasible in Australia, due to the cost of the required electrician.
It was $15.83 with USB-C last year. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/702826
