Good way to reduce the visibility.

I have one of these for the past few months, if anyone has any questions.

    • Is it any good? Any cons like speaker lag on calls?

      • Calls are great no complaints.

    • Screen brightness and response to touch?

      • +1

The screen is probably the best thing about it. Its a matte QLED display and it looks fantastic and easy to read.

    • what are negatives that you have found about this unit if any that you have observed.?

      • +1

The only real neg is that you have to use their cameras, you cant use generic ones. But I knew this going in.

The only other annoyances I have are to do with Android auto, so not this devices fault and would be the same on any AA unit.

    • How does it go with pairing/switching between multiple phones?

      • I haven't had the need for that yet.

      • +1

I've got this unit, switching between 2 iPhones. It remembers the last one that's synced and if another synced phone is the only one in the car, it'll automatically connect to that. BUT if BOTH phones are in the car and you need to switch for whatever reason, you'll need to turn off CarPlay (or bluetooth) on the connected phone, THEN switch to the other phone. Also the startup time to sync is pretty slow, I'd say between 30-60 seconds from a cold startup.

    • On a scale of 1 to yes, how much of a projectile danger is it in a crash?

      • +1

Its fine. Its quite lightweight, so in a crash that's bad enough to dislodge it, I imagine you would have far more things to worry about than this.

Not really. There are craptons of cheap devices that do the same thing as this one. But none of them will have the screen quality and software quality of this ATOTO one.

I'm sure they will be fine. But I'd rather pay a bit more and get something that is noticeably better quality at every level.

These atotos are a rip off

  • +1

I did try one of those cheaper ones before getting the ATOTO. Lets just say you get what you pay for, in terms of both screen quality and software stability.

Instead of this lighting deal, I'd pay $20 more and get the full set with both cameras.

Remember this device also has front and rear DVR, so it does the job of a $100+ dashcam as well.

  • Which version includes front camera please. Difficult to find out.

  • Its showing $249 for me

  • And $208 now. Like I said $263 is a rip off
