  • $60 amaysim plus $35 extra is much cheaper than the $170 Woolworths mobile plan, but it's on Optus network :(
Any other yearly prepaid cheaper than $135?

    • And with the Woolies mobile plan you 10 per cent off one shop/month.

    • +1

The Woolies plan is on Telstra (wholesale), and pays for itself if you can do a $150 shop at Woolies once a month.

      • No it doesn't. You can get the 10% discount by purchasing this plan for $35, it therefore only saves you $35 and doesn't "pay for itself".

        • You get one 10% off for mobile and one 10% off for EE every month. Obviously you then need to do two $150 shops at Woolies a month (which I imagine a lot of people do or could), but you can do your own maths.

          • -3

@djkelly69: You said "once a month". If you're going to rely on doing two $150 shops a month then you could get a second rewards card.

I was just pointing out your false economy - the mobile plan is not saving you 10% of your shop, it's saving you the $3 you'd otherwise have to pay to get 10% off.

            • @callum9999: I think suggesting you can get infinite rewards cards is false economy, but hey, as I said, do your own math.

              • -3

@djkelly69: I didn't suggest you can get "infinite rewards cards".

I was trying to explain it nicely, but I suggest you DON'T do your own maths because you're awful at it.

                • @callum9999: Haha, moving the goalposts and throwing out personal insults.

                  Good discussion.

                  • -2

@djkelly69: I see you're just as bad at literacy then. YOU moved the goalposts by claiming I suggested using "infinite rewards cards" when I actually suggested using two. I merely moved them back.

Pointing out you're unable to accurately assess the savings you achieve isn't a "personal insult", it's stating an objective fact. If you find it insulting then you should probably fix your misunderstanding - if you can't do that yourself then feel free to ask for a better explanation.

      Kogan (Vodafone) is $120/year.

  • +1

I'm sorry but what does this membership do?

    • +4

2x everyday rewards points on shops, 10% off one shop per month (in store or online), once-a-month extra offer (usually something small like a bottle of small orange juice or a yoghurt pot)

      • 10% off one shop per month (in store or online)

        same as WWS mobile offer?

        • +3

They are separate. Meaning you can use the 10% off from Woolies Mobile in one shop, then the 10% off from Everyday Extra in another shop, per month.

          • -1

@j1nx: thank you for your explaination, then it started to make little sense, but still a hard pass for me.. regular shopping at wws would be around $40. can't really bother to "pay for merelty 10% discount"…

    • +1

I didn't know what it was either - found more info here https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/extra.html

EDIT - looks like description has been updated now too with link ;)

      • +1

for me the only meaningful benefit is the 10% discount

  • +1

How long is the offer? I still got 30 days trial available.

I dislike how there is no digital card in the app, like Flybuys.

I don't wanna scroll through 15 digital cards on my wallet :/

    • +4

I add my gift cards to my wallet and then use everyday pay via a QR code.. scans both my rewards card and gets me 4% off without having to think

(except when the machine has a hissy fit and aborts the payment halfway through..)

    • +3

On the homepage of the app there is a “Show Card” on the right hand side

      • And also in the Rewards Wallet (third icon across the bottom on the app)

    • will the Stocard app help? Still have to scroll through cards but is better set out (eg commonly used cards are on the front page) and saves on having to scroll through apps on your phone

    • Not sure if I've misunderstood what you want but you can add this to both iPhone and Android wallets. With iPhone at least, you just hold it up to the reader and it automatically selects the EDR card.. no scrolling through cards required. Presumably Android is the same.

      https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/content/woolworths-rewa…

    • 2nd this, I have the trial available and doesn't look like it can be skipped.
The promotion runs till the 20/12/2023 though, so if you start the trial now, you'll be charged before the promotion ends, so theoretically it should work fine.

      • +1

if it works like the OnePass promo, I did the trial and signed up for the 50% off at the same time, it's just that the (50% off) payment is delayed?

Does EE not work that way?

        • I'm unsure, it said the normal price when I signed up for the trial earlier, so we'll have to wait and see when I get charged on Dec 14th.

          • @TheBargainDog: The discount doesn't start until tomorrow, so you may not get that price now if it is established on sign up (which makes more sense).

            • @wangasm: Hmm, you might be right. I'll contact support tomorrow if that's the case and get it changed, otherwise I guess I'll just have to setup a new rewards card lol

        • I'm hoping it works this way, I signed up today and have my trial ending on the 20th of December, the same day I get charged but everything I see is saying 50% off $35 annually is what I'll get billed.

Do Woolworths do Bunnings gift cards?
Looking to get a few but trying to cash in on any offers around.

    • Nup. Bunnings is part of the other mob, Wesfarmers, who run OnePass. Coles sells them because it was demerged from Wesfarmers. In any case, gift card purchases are excluded from the 10% off discount.

    • Ok, thanks for the heads up.

  • +2

    Thanks

  • +2

    Thanks for posting OP!

I had been on the free trial with it set to the $70 plan, just checked and it expires today! Phew

    • does it mean that we'll miss out on the deal if we sign up for the 30days trial today?

  • +1

Just cancelled my subscription, goes until the 22nd, then I will rejoin for $35 the day after.

    Thanks OP.

    • Expires on 20 Nov. I’m in same boat.

  • Do any other Everyday Extra subscribers not receive the "Free item from Woolworths every month"? For those who do receive the item, what types of things do you get?

    • +2

      1) I receive it every month. It's just it was late last time. This time i got it early.
      2) from the top of my head; air freshener,M&m's Minis tub (1),Cadbury Classic Choc Chip Cookies packet, Primo cold meats 100gr.

      • Does it indicate your Everyday Extra free items on your Woolworths invoice? I might have to contact them about this - I haven't ever received any freebies.

        • Do you mean like this? https://ibb.co/PgN1KZm

          • @Charbel91: Thanks for the image. Now I know what to look out for. Will contact them at the end of the month if I don't get anything this month.

    • Yeah, I have Woolworths mobile. I get the 10% off, but I don't get the free items. Maybe I'm missing it?

      • +1

The free item is specific to everyday extra, mobile only gets a 10% off instore discount.

  • +1

Of course this happens 2 days after my renewal went through (which was destined to be cancelled, until they reinstated the online redemption a few days ago).

  • -3

Coming up as $70 for me?

    Anyone else getting this?

    • +1

      Tomorrow.

    • Offer doesn't start till tomorrow (12am 15th Nov), so check in again then.

  • I'm paying monthly..so,I really hope that i can upgrade to yearly for that price.

  • Have i missed something with the online redemption? Used to get the 10% off each month through insurance, but the codes stopped working.

    • Can only be done in store now.

  • +2

fook i forked out $70 not long ago

    • +4

      Name does not check out

    • It's worth opening another account.
Will pay for itself in no time.

      • Nah just too many issues as you need to use a new mobile number to log in and verify

Also like to keep my Woolies cash off all together easier to manage

  • +2

Tell me if I'm thinking this through correctly.
    I have ww mobile too.
    If I join:
I can use 10% off once in store for mobile (I think still not online too like it used to be?)
And once in store for everyday extra.
And once online (click and collect).
    And once at big W?
Plus extra points on the purchases.
Plus the ability to use discounted WW cards.
    Seems like a good deal.

    • +1

Yes! you can also use the Big W discount online, too. I get two 10% off for in-store every month because I'm a mobile customer+everyday extra member.

      • +1

Can I confirm: the 10% for Big W is only for Extra members, right? Mobile-only customers only get 10% for that one WW purchase per month (not for Big W)?

        • Yes, that's right.

  • Does the 10% off per month include alcohol?

    • No

    • No but only non alcohol products.

  • +1

I don’t t even know this existed. Thanks OP will sign up tomorrow.

  • Does Coles have anything equivalent?

  • Be careful with the promotion end date listed in this post. This page says it ends 28 Nov? https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/partners/orange-friday.…

    • +4

20th Dec date is specific to the Extra subscription promo. The other promos end on 28th Nov.
Scroll to the bottom terms on that same page and you'll see it.

      • Good find. Thanks for correcting me Wangasm!

    • ah well, this is a Woolworth reward program not Coles reward sir

  • +1

It used to be $59 a year and 3x the points, then they put it up.

  • So a $7 saving on the jump in and out method.

    And far less hassle.

  • +1

So, creating a new account to save :)

    • Doesn't creating a new rewards account mean you need another (different) mobile number, and address and all? What is the minimum they want in terms of ID?

  • I think last year or beginning of this year, we could stack with gift card 10% offf in offer with Extra reward 10% off.
If they have not fixed yet then I am going to try this one, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/811079

  • Waiting on a Black Friday mobile phone deal, so signing up to this looks like a bet that there will be one that is $35 better than anything W mobile offers, to get the same 10 percent discount once I month

    • Woolworths mobile only give you 10% once in shop but everyday rewards give you once in Woolworths and bigw … !

    • also mobile only allow in-store, the Extra allows online. that's a big factor for me

  • -4

    Not shopping at woolworths: priceless

  • +1

Anyone know how soon you need to activate the prepaid long expiry? Tried to look at the critical information and FAQ but I couldn't find it… Or maybe I missed it. Cheers

  • +1

Woolworths no longer give rainchecks. I don't know how they get away with this as they can't meet their advertised special prices when they always run out of stock. Coles still give rainchecks. Woolworths official excuse for this is covid

    • -2

They "get away with it" because they clearly don't "always run out of stock" (I can't remember the last time I tried to buy something on special but it had run out), it's not illegal, and the vast majority of people don't care.

Their excuse is also not "covid" - covid-related supply problems is why they initially stopped doing it but they've never said they can't reintroduce it because of covid. The reason is presumably the last one on the list I just gave - virtually no-one cares.

      • -2

advertising a deal and not having it is not illegal? TIL

        • +3

Name a single product in the current Woolworths catalogue that isn't available.

I know this is a completely inconsequential thing to be discussing, but the complete inability for people to think rationally nowadays is incredibly depressing.

I have no idea who you are so am not making claims about you personally, but the people blindly ranting about things like this are often the same people blindly ranting about things of actual importance - and are exactly why morons like Trump gain power.

          Rant over!

          • -2

@callum9999: trump? what? keep an eye on products that often sell out. youre the reason that hitler existed. peace out!

            • @belongsinforums: While you're free not to agree with it, I don't think my argument is very difficult to follow. What exactly are you having trouble understanding?

I assume the Hitler reference is an attempt at a joke because you don't have the ability to refute anything I said? Though it's ironic because people spouting nonsense like yourself that others blindly believe is exactly what is required for people like Hitler to gain power…

So to answer my question, you can't name a single product that's sold out in the current catalogue. Exactly as I suspected.

  • Can I choose when I use the once per month 10% discount at woolies?

  • i am currently on free trial period till 28/11. should i just cancel the subscription and sign up again for half price after 28/11?

    • That's what I'm going to do, I'm in the same scenario as you.

  • Good value?

    • Depends on your spend. If you spend $100 a month in groceries and buy them all at once, you'd save $10 a month or $120 a year for $35 spend.

  • What is the free item?

    • +1

They're always different. In the last three months I have received a box of Cruskits, a pack of choc chip biscuits and Swisspers cotton tips.

      • How do they inform you that you have a free item?

        • You get an email and it also appears in the Everyday Rewards app.

  • -2

Just do your main shop at Aldi and save $$. Simple. Barely go near Woolworths or Coles anymore.
