Unfortunately as far as I know it’s all carb heavy white bread
just sugary white bread that spike your blood sugar, rather than healthy! An occasional food.
Similar to stores popular in Asia (I've eaten at in S Korea & Japan).
Egg & especially good Portuguese Tarts are my favourite treat😋
Plus 5% cashback @SB Pay
Offer available 7 to 20 November.
1 per customer / SB account while stocks last
Requires Payment method added to SB or current available balance.
Only at ~30 participating stores (see SB App - click on "In-Store" for BreadTop participating stores + T&C)
Surprised my local BreadTop in suburban Brisbane has SB QR code to scan. Only 2 participating in Qld (other at Southport), next is over 700k away!
I assume the term "while stocks last" is referring to their daily stock and not some limit on the number of overall redemptions.
Should be. There will be times with no stock left that day. So don't try at end of last day.
A condition is 1 per customer in T&C.
Likely 1 per SB account, as that's how the free tart is redeemed.
Will try tomorrow. Never used SB Pay.
Store I went to had small number of individual tarts packaged behind the counter
Might not be same as those normally sold in 2 & 4 packs.
"while stocks last"… Possible that may be all that are available that day!
Just something to note:
The 5% cashback is actually only confirmed if you've made a subsequent visit to the same store within 3 months.
Just realised that on way to store.
There are so many T&C!
Only spending $3 today. Next time!
5% (20c) off next purchase showed in SB App after $3.90 purchase.
Asked about the offer - staff were informed & explained the simple process👍
(First time paying with SB Pay)
Small number of individual Egg Tarts were in packets behind register ready to give out, QR code by register.
(On shelf there are only 2 & 4 packs - that's not the ones for this offer.)
Bought a $3.90 Spicy Chicken Roll
Scanned QR code, total $6.20 entered, 6c (1.5%) service fee added, $2.30 egg tart deducted. Total $3.96.
Paid from SB cashback available.
Earnt 20c (5%) towards next purchase. Shown in SB App.
But don't think will return within 3 months to claim!
Remembered why I don't shop there…
Labelling Laws say product description must match ingredients!
Spicy Chicken Roll: Barely spicy, & the chicken must have run away 🐔
Just a small, moist, stodgy roll.
I love Egg Tarts at yum cha. Eaten in China. Nothing like those. Barely a tiny thin custard tart. Disappointing & dry.
Was far more crust than egg custard.
Upvote revoked. Not worth it unless you REALLY like BreadTop food.
Wish I'd read this before I went… no single tarts at either of the 2 shops I visited :(
That was the first thing I noticed.
Staff at the store were happy to help.
Always best to ask😉
Went to 3 shops. one had no stock. another one not accept shopback payment, then when in the afternoon no stock again.
Did you check the list of participating stores?
Did you ask for the single egg tart for this promotion, as I suggested?
I successfully bought mine at Galeries Town Hall Sydney. They had single egg tarts for sale so pretty simple.
Does Breadtop have any wholemeal options, etc., or is it pretty much just sugary white bread that spike your blood sugar?
