Can not see the 3 month off

    • Turn on the toggle that says CommBank customer price.

      • +2

I can't either, even with toggling the CommBank customer.

        • Same here.

        • I'm getting $0 after turning on the toggle.

          • @Twix: I guess it differs based on the address. Maybe it only applies if you need a FTTP upgrade (I’d been assuming that was one of the benefits, not a requirement for the other benefits), or maybe it’s only for specific states or similar?

            • @Sven Viking: I didn't put in any address.

              • @Twix: I can’t choose a plan without entering an address, so it’s just at $0 because no plan has been selected. Once a plan is selected it shows the price.

                • +1

@Sven Viking: After entering an address I'm still seeing $0 for 3 months with an FTTP upgrade and $0 for 3 months with no upgrade.

                  • +2

@Twix: Ah, got it working using the link from the earlier deal post rather than the link from this deal (this post has “3 months free” in the title before it was edited so I didn’t realise it was a separate deal).

  • Noob question, i am with aussie broadband, do i need to cancel the existing plan before sign up? Thanks

    • Overlap their dates by a couple of days. Otherwise the second company is under no obligation to cancer your first. There are multiple ports on NBN and they can just use a vacant one

      • I had this with iinet, i thought the new ISP will take over the service and disconnect the old plan. so yeah, you have to inform your current ISP as well.

    • Are you getting FTTP installed or do you already have FTTP and want the free 3 months?

      • I have been with Aussie boardband for ages so i guess i am getting FTTP installed? And I want the free 3 months. My bill date is 26/11. Should I wait until then?

        • Don't guess. What does it say here?

          • @Twix: say my location is already with Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC)

            • +1

@Bigbabo: HFC is not being changed to FTTP anytime soon. You can change from Aussie to More Telecom whenever you like. Aussie does pro-rata refunds.

  • If I don't need a mesh router, could someone please recommend a cheap router to go with FTTC?

    • Define cheap

      • under $120

        • +1

You can use the eero 6+ router by itself.

          TP-Link Archer AX20 Wi-Fi 6 Router $119 Delivered @ Amazon AU.

          • @Twix: It says "order a $0 fibre upgrade with an eligible nbn plan & you could get a $159.90 discount code to use on eero 6+ devices*"

Since my house is not eligible for an FTTP upgrade and currently only has FTTC, I assume I won't be eligible for the discount code to use on the eero 6+

            • @Dr-Bargain: You should become eligible soon. What does it say here?

              • @Twix: "September 2024"
                .

                • @Nugs: Yeah if you have FTTN it can be 2024 or 2025. Most of FTTC should be eligible for FTTP by the years end.

                  • +1

@Twix: Thanks. I've just signed up. Hopefully, I'll receive the discount code for the eero 6+ device. The CommBank discount for the 12 months is too hard to resist.

                    • @Dr-Bargain: Does the nbn link say nbn full fibre is on the way?

                      • @Twix: It says below:

nbn full fibre isn’t currently available at your address
We’re rolling out more fibre, delivering near gigabit speeds# to homes and businesses across Australia.

                        Next steps
Keep updated with the latest news. We’ll let you know if your location becomes eligible.

  • Stupid question, if my house isn't eligible for a FTTP upgrade, do I still get the discount on the eero?

    • This is the info mentioned in their website

Complete your FTTP upgrade by no later than 31 March 2024^ and enjoy fast reliable nbn®
Once your new fibre connection is live & you've configured your modem, get in touch with our team to cancel your old service. ^If you do not complete your upgrade by 31 March your account may be charged $159.90

      • +1

Ah, so it sounds like that the eero only applies to those that are eligible for the upgrade.

  • +2

    Isn't this a bit of a dupe?

    • +1

Indeed, looks like it however the other post doesn't mention "$0 FTTP Upgrade + $159.90 Discount Code to Use on eero 6+ Mesh Router "

  • Can I apply for this on a vacant NBN port? I just wanna test it first before I switch. I'm on FTTP with Exetel.

    • +2

I tried this about 8 months ago.
I gave specific instructions to More to add the connection to port 2 and the monkeys removed AussieBB and added theirs to port 1.

Hopefully your attempt goes better than mine.

      • Hahaha sigh..I have a feeling my result will end up being the same!

  • Why would inner-city Richmond VIC not be available for an upgrade from FTTC to FTTP? Is it because I live in a small apartment building?

    • Is there 5+ apartments or less?

      • 11 lots…3 x commercial on ground and 8 apartments above (though several of these are used by businesses rather than resi)

        • All 11 need to apply at once. Min $275 per apartment. Check the building eligibility here

          • @Twix: Oh cool thanks…checked and still not eligible. Will discuss with my Owners Corp

Interestingly if I check addresses on the other side of the street (odd numbers) the upgrade is available. But address on my side (even numbers) are not.

            • +1

              @myfeetarehappy: Check that link often. Eventually it will update to;

              Good news!

Your building may be eligible for nbn full fibre. Ask your Owners Corporation, Body Corporate or building owner to fill out the request form below and someone from nbn will be in contact.

Recently I got price increase email from More… so now I know the reason, they want to give free internet to new customers by increasing existing customers price… lol,,, bye bye MORE…

    • +1

Not really. From what I can see, most providers increased their prices due to NBN price change. Anyone on lower plans like 25 or 50 plans get hit with approx $6 increase, those on higher plans get a decrease.

Their original deal prior to Oct and using 25/5 plan as an example cost $66 but 30% off for first year = $46.20. After that 10% off = $59.40 ongoing.
The new deal costs $72.00 ($6 price increase). The first 3 months is free for CBA customers and there after 10% off ongoing = $64.80

Extending Offer: If you have a second CBA account or your partner has one, you can create an new account and transfer your existing to it and get the 3 months free. The promo is not based on single deal per premises or user and more based on per CBA account.

    • You can thank nbn for the price increase.

  • +2

I signed up with More a couple of months ago and it was the worst experience. Firstly, they had advertised a discount for CBA customers when $70+ plan ended up being $54 plan for 50/17 Mbps. And now after 2 months, they increased this plan to almost $90/m! Secondly, the evening speed is terrible (2-3 Mbps when advertised as 17 Mbps). Never had any issues with evening speed on my previous providers. "More" just ignored my support request about it. And lastly, their website is terrible. Every time to login I have to provide my customer ID (in addition to my username). So just be cautious when signing up with More.

    • Oh thanks for the feedback, just gonna try out their 3 months free. Will change to a different ISP then. What's your plan?

      • Mine is 50/17

      • May as well go for their "Fastest" plan as it's free for 3 months (if you have any temporary need). :-)

    • thanks for sharing your experience. This is exactly how I am reluctant to jump on.

Weird how experience varies between different provider when they suppose to use same network.

Probably the bandwidth they reserve with NBN isn't enough to cope?

  • I am with More on CBA deal with 30% off for 12 months, currently paying $46.20 for basic plan.
My 12 months offer will be ended this month, so already ordered an upgrade to FTTP with 30% off for 12 months with a free eero 6+ modem (already received the code and ordered and delivered).
I think is either 3 months free and 10% ongoing, or 30% for 12 months, you can't get both.

    • how long did it take to receive the code for eero 6+?

      • +1

I got it in 3 business days

  • Is there any roadmap on when HFC will be upgraded to FTTP?

    • No.

  • I am using the 5g wireless at the moment and FTTP will be available next month.
Should I sign up now and upgrade next month?
    Such a wasting.

  • what will happen if you use code to get the eero 6+ but nbn fail to do the upgrade because of difficulties or lead in being directly buried for over 200m will you still be liable to repay MORE?

what if you cancel the more nbn within 3 months will i be liable for up to 12 months?

  • i too could not see the 3 month off if i choose the upgrade link offer first. so i just choose the 3 months free nbn offer first then scrolled down chose the 100mbp plan that had the upgrade offer thus check out is $0 with a cba card. now just have to wait 3 days to get the amazon modem voucher

  • It's been four days now and still haven't received the voucher for eero 6+

  • about to signup morenbn, but couldn't see 'Get a $159.90 Discount Code for eero 6+ Mesh Router' on their website, does that mean this offer ends?

  • Hi, I’m currently with More and it states “Your address is currently connected by NBN HFC High. NBN aren't upgrading the HFC High network at this time.” How to get on this deal and receive the free eero 6+? My brain is currently not functioning right now 🥲

    • I called up moments ago asking about the eero 6 voucher, the guy told me its no longer avaiable. Dont know how accucate that information is.
