I never felt the need to specify the difference nor has any of my friends had to clarify that they’re talking about panty liners when mentioning them. But maybe it’s cause we use them everyday so calling them liners is just the norm?
Edit: even the actual product doesn’t say “panty” liners. They’re just liners.
