'36-Month Fluency' means that through the optimization of software, hardware and other comprehensive technologies, the device has passed the 36-month fluency testing in OPPO laboratory. It does not mean that there is absolutely no lag. Due to factors such as network environment and personal usage, the actual experience may be different. Please refer to the actual experience.

OPPO: disclaimer: my sentence means nothing :)

  • Is this phone responsive for everyday use? i know its cheap but will it hold up and make me not want to upgrade for a few years?

    • Don’t do it lol

        username checks out

    • Well that really depends on what you're using now lol. If it's a Galaxy J7 then sure. Anything half decent will be a downgrade now, let alone in a few years.

    • No. I had the a58 and it was rubbish. Processor lag was the most notable since Symbian OS

The g85 was pretty good in my redmi note 9… For the price I think the specs look acceptable

      • Redmi Note 9 is from 2020. Today is 2023 and G85 is a 12nm processor. OPPO always looks good with low end processors for their low - mid tier phones. :(

        • Yes, so I think for $129 it's alright

          • @scottySK: But the mobile plan is not exactly on the cheap side. I guess you can consider it as $400 for plan + phone. But 269GB is a lot of data for a low tier phone.

  • Should get android 14 ? Not sure , just wondering if I could get this with their $25.00 dollar plan . Wouldn't mind upgrading my vivo….

$189 is NOT cheap for a phone, it is reasonable and acceptable price, but maybe cheap for this consumerist forum folks.

  • Compared to my 2017 snapdragon 845, the Mediatek Helio G85 seems like trash.

  • Is the phone deal telco locked or unlocked?

    • unlocked

      • Therefore this statement is incorrect?

Found the terms from Big W website
        https://www.bigw.com.au/your-rights-product-safety/prepaid-m…

Konec Bundled Phone and Pre-Paid SIM Pack

Just hoping it will be unlocked to enjoy other telco plans when necessary

        • it says it on their front page https://www.konec.com.au/

          New and unlocked

@shxhshzhz: Excellent, this really helps in making consideration. Thanks mate.

By the way, is there a way to use this phone with an existing prepaid which will only end in Jan 2024 prior to using Konec 90 Day new plan?
