      • That is strange. Before, you had to have the trade in in place for the 10% loyalty to work

  • Got mine, 1TB Samsung zfold 5 with just 1 buds 2 for $1571 then cancelled the bud and got it down to $1391.

    Hi all. Just wondering what is everyone sent with $1 TradeUp earbud ? Will old apple wired headphones they will accept ?? Anyone successfully sent something that work ? If so. Please kindly share. Thanks.

    • Earbuds are usually wireless.

      • It doesn't say wired or wireless earbuds so technically both fit under the definition

    • I have sent a couple of old wired headphones before. One huawei branded, one random unbranded from overseas.

      Note: in the TradeUp app I always select Headphone instead of Earbuds (not sure if that makes any difference)

    Quick question for folks who received ‘Online exclusive’ colours Fold5/ S23 Ultra phones: what is the country of manufacture?

    (Curious as customer support mentioned they can’t be cancelled/ returned as they’re being shipped from ‘overseas’, wondering if country of manufacture is different from Samsung/ Australian Authorised Retailer store sold phones, and if lower price is due to lower quality)

    • Fold 512 (online) Grey is SM-F946B, made in Vietnam (I think it's usually from Vietnam even for standard color)

  • Does anyone know how to change trade in product(same trade-in valued) even after purchase has been made? I contacted Samsung and told me to contact Asurion, but when I called Asurion, they said they will give me a call back before 4pm today but never did.

    • I contacted samsung and they mentioned to contact Asurion or they can cancel the order and can place your order again with new trade in id.

      • The latter would mean that all your codes and hard work go to waste

    Anyone placed more than 1 order using different email address & phone number (to get the 10% app first purchase discount and $50 newsletter code) but same ID for trade-in? Do you see any issues with that?

    • I bought a Fold 5 512gb for $878 last Monday. Today i bought a 23U 256gb for $578.

      Need to create a new Samsung shop account to get the 10% off first app order. Basically a new email address. I used the same name, address and phone number for both orders. You also need to arrange to get all the codes. I got the 10% code by calling and the $100 voucher through chat. First order I traded an old phone. Second order I used the trade up app and traded in headphones.

      • What no. did you call for loyalty code?

        • Can't actually recall. I got it from the website. They offered me two codes. One with 15% off and no trade in and one 10% with trade in.

                so how do you know they are confirmed (so you cancel) - did you just keep checking? or its confirmed when you get some kind of email ?

                • @CyberMurning: I kept refreshing the App. Once the order was confirmed an email was sent. I waited about two hours all up. Then it will allow you to select cancel and tick the items you want cancelled while the order is in accepted stage. This is a short window to cancel. Approx an hour. It then moves to preparing order and then the cancel button is gone.

                    • @CyberMurning: There is only one cancel button on the order. Once you select cancel it will ask you to select (tick) what you want to cancel on that order.

        • U don’t need that link. Just add the correct 3 products into the cart and u should see #Youmake somewhere in the bottom of the cart & 20% applied if correct

  • Anyone actually like the fold vs a normal s23 etc,

    • anyone that need a portable big screen and strong enough to carry 253 grams phone will like fold

    • I went from Fold 3 to S22 to iPhone 14 Pro to S23 and now back to Fold 5.

      Only reason Fold 3 to S22 was my employee discount working at a telco expired since I left. And the S22 battery was horrible so decided to go to dark side.

      I was heaps content with the S23 due to battery and customisable One UI…but at this price the Fold 5 was a no brainer for me since I really enjoyed the Fold 3.

      If you're okay with these cons
      - some apps having blown up aspect ratios
      - the crease
      - non dust proof/less durable screen
      - heavier than a S23 base or S23+
      - not as good camera as the Ultra

      pros for me
      - easier one handed use when folded compared to S23+, Ultra and personally easier than the S23 base too (smol hands)
      - oneui features are good for a fold for you to utilize screen, can definitely be polished more though
      - emulating switch games or using moonlight to stream from PC is like having a Steamdeck when you want it
      - watching videos on it is a much better experience than S23 smaller screen

          Search Yuzu on Fold 5, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is powerful able to get 60 frames on games :)

  • My Samsung shop app keeps getting "Uh oh, looks like something has gone wrong, sorry! Try this instead" before checking out. Clearing the cache does not help.

    Usb and memory back in stock this morning. Seems to work with all the codes for s23 ultra red 256gb and 2x128gb usb stick with 553 for the phone.

      • I applied all codes with buds. It all seemed to work and left it there until the usb sticks were in stock this morning. I added the 64gb usb the price went up then i added the 128gb the price went down. So i removed the buds and usb 64gb stick.. reapplied the newsletter code cos somehow it was taken off.

        I bought 3 phones with 3 different codes over a span of few days. Flip for my daughter and either fold or ultra for my partner.. but finally its over and i can sleep in tomorrow morning. No more waking up at 6am!

      If you are in a hurry, include your phone number in the email, and tell them you are keen and you can take a call anytime.
