I bought a 6tb WD drive a couple of years back from Amazon UK via AU and when I reported to amazon that it died, they issued a return and refunded me in full.
Yes. Anything fulfilled through Amazon AU is covered under ACL and claims are therefore managed by Amazon AU.
Thanks for that. I was on the fence due to this:
Amazon Global Store:
* International products have separate terms and are sold from abroad and may differ from local products including fit, age rating, and language of product, labeling, or instructions, or plugs (you may require an adapter).
* Manufacturer warranty may not apply but you may have other rights under law.so 2 years warranty?
good deal
Would this work with a LG C3 for recording and playback of live TV? Bought a decent USB stick but didn’t realise it needed a portable hard drive.
Thanks OP! Snatched one
What sort of use cases do you good people have for these?
And can they be shucked format PS5?
Thanks OP been waiting for the T7 to go on sale. Better than expected price and able to stack with westpac bonus on Shopback.
These are great and super fast over USB 3.2 Gen 2.
any cashback on this?
Thanks!
$5 bonus cashback (cash ewards) I believe. The rep mentioned it will work with Amazon US and UK. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/804540
4TB also on sale
Buy now or wait for Black Friday
Thanks OP! Looks like a great price, grabbed one.
Nabbed the second last one @5:54 - might be one more left
I would discourage people from buying this brand particularly. I just purchased the Samsung T7 Shield 4TB, had absolutely terrible transfer speeds with a Surface Laptop USBC 3.1 with 40gbps rated USBc cable. SSD default exFat format. There’s some debate NTFS vs. exFAT but irrelevant here as I only saw average of ~ 40MB/s over 1.8 TB worth of DIFFERENT file type transfers… It never peaked above 45MB/s..,
I ran CrystalDiskMark8.0 & RND4K Q32TI score = 193.41 MB/s READ 93.61 MB/s WRITE & Q1T1 score = 10.68 READ & 31.48 WRITE.
What this means in real word results means that I’m seeing, even transferring 1GB worth of files (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, JPEG etc in a folder takes > 2 mins…
With these international versions, do we go back to Amazon for any warranty claims? I am guessing Samsung AU wouldn't want anything to do with it.
