$5 Bonus Cashback on $50 Spend in One Transaction at Amazon on All Categories @ Cashrewards (Activation Required)

6980

Happy Prime Day everyone. A nice bonus when you activate then spend $50 or more in one transaction at Amazon. We have up to 15% cashback today ($30 cap), and all tiers have a cashback component so all categories are eligible (see terms below). Please ensure you are logged into your Cashrewards account prior to activating, and clear your Amazon cart before clicking/tapping 'Shop Now' from Cashrewards. Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Please read the following terms & tips carefully:

  1. To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then shop as normal via Amazon Australia at Cashrewards.
  2. After activation, transaction must be made between 9am AEDT 10 October 2023 and 11:59pm AEDT 10 October 2023.
  3. Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $50 in a single transaction. Qualifying purchase price is calculated inclusive of GST, after any discounts, but excludes any shipping costs. Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the purchase amount shown in your account may be less than $50 - you will still be eligible for the bonus if the actual qualifying purchase price is $50 or more.
  4. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Under some conditions there may be a delay of up to 60 minutes for the bonus to show in your account after activation.
  5. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  7. Amazon reports orders with multiple items as separate entries into your Cashrewards account - these are still eligible.
  8. Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  9. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  10. Bonus is paid on eligible purchases, excluding delivery, taxes & GST.
  11. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Bonus is eligible for:

12. Items added to cart after clicking from Cashrewards.
13. Purchase of products paid with gift cards.
14. The first (new) Subscribe & Save order. Subsequent orders are ineligible.
15. Preorders, but only if the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

Bonus is ineligible on the following:

16. Purchase of vouchers, gift cards, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals.
17. Second and subsequent Subscribe & Save orders (only first Subscribe & Save orders are eligible).
18. Purchases paid with any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.
19. Use of any promotional codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field.
20. Items added to cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards.
21. Items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list.
22. Items that are cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
23. GST, other taxes and delivery fees.
24. Fraudulent transactions.

Handy tips:

Read my comment here to help determine what category items fall into. Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant). Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click (not 3-Camels etc). Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

Well well, today is shopping day OzB, need to ask the boss for the shopping leave then, feeling good man

  • -1

    Very nice, thanks @tightarse

I literally just clicked checkout before this :(

    • +2

Always easy to cancel and reorder :)

      • Just cancelled my 2 min old order and tried this.
Usually Amazon fails to track for some reason, but hopefully will this time!

  • +1

    Need gift card deal

  • +8

I got a $5 Cashback on $10 Amazon spend via a "Topcashback" email a few mins ago.

    • Use both.

  • +5

Yep TopCashBack $5 for $10 Amazon spend and much less 0% categories too

    https://www.topcashback.com.au/bonus/oct-23-optin-amazon-5-b…

    • +1

Both are doing upsized cashback right now. Use TC if your spend is under $50, CR if it's over.

SB has 10% bonus CB via Westpac and also has upsized CB.

      • +1

yeah the SB deal is better than this one if you have a Westpac card.

the only 0% category on SB are the Kindles.

    • Got that one.
Ain't going to cancel stuff to get another $5 on things ordered.
$50 in one transaction rules out subscribe and save things that process straight away (that are <50$)

      • what u means?

        • Means spend 50+ other deal, 10$ then top cash free $5

    • Topcashback has now a minimum of 1.5% cashback for other purchases, no more 0% categories, at least for today

  • Does this work for physical books shipping from, and sold by, Amazon US?

    • +1

Yes, 100%. Purchases from Amazon US/UK etc are eligible for cashback provided the transaction is made via Amazon AU. Don't go copy/pasting links. You must navigate via Amazon AU. Hope this helps.

  • +2

does using coupon (BIG10) make the transaction ineligible for cashback?

    • Wondering this too

    • +8

"Bonus is ineligible on the following:

Use of any promotional codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field.

      "

  • is the link on the website working? Im redirected to a blank page that has "Questions? We’re here to help!'

    • Click on the "Go to Deal" button again.

    • +3

Do you have an Adblocker activated? Page loads fine across all browsers for me. Cheers.

      • +1

sorry you're right, i had windscribe not on but as an extension which has an ad blocker. all good now i can activate thank you for the prompt response!

        • +1

No worries. Enjoy the day :)

Does the $15 prime savings promotion invalidate the cashback?

    • Been waiting for an answer on this one. I went ahead and purchased an item for $52 and the $15 was deducted making the sale price $37. So, I miss out on the $5. But I don't know if my cashback was invalidated.

    • What’s that promotion please ?

      • It was targeted for new Prime members. Spend over $30 get $15 back on certain items until the end of Oct.

        • Oh ok thanks

  • -1

    Nice

  • Cool. This is great . Bought some pet food!

  • +1

Fantastic. Cash rewards is my preferred cash back platform. Well done.

  • Thanks TA

  • Typical… I spent big 20mins prior to the email being sent out… Ohh well.. Will have to buy more.. ha ha

  • +1

Cashrewards has usually been good and has been my go to (instead of the competitors) because of their reliability. However, cashrewards have lately been declining cashback for all my Amazon purchases. Anyone experienced this?

Here's how I typically make Amazon purchases via Cashrewards. For the very first time, click via Cashrewards app into their in-built browser and sign-in. Tick the box to keep myself signed in. This is only required to be done once.

For every purchase after that, go to cashrewards app on my Android phone, click through to Amazon via Cashrewards' browser, make the purchase (add to cart, then checkout). No adblocker installed, no other websites visited in between click-through and purchase, purchases made via the mobile network (no wifi).

Recently (only last week) cashrewards app started redirecting to Amazon android app, so I uninstalled the Amazon app to ensure I make the purchase through cashrewards' in-built browser.

The mass declining of Amazon transactions only started in the second half of Sep'23. Any idea what could be the reason? @tightarse?

    • +1

Hi. Amazon transactions will decline within a few days when you purchase from ineligible categories that show 0% cashback on our merchant page, per the terms. The categories are updated and change at the start of each month so it's best you check prior to purchasing. See my comment here which may help you determine eligibility. By the way, all cashback partners have the same eligible/ineligible categories, so if one provider declines, the others will too when purchasing the same products. Approvals/declines are not a function of the cashback site you choose to use - they are controlled totally by Amazon. Hope this helps :)

      • Thanks, man. I'll keep an eye on the category and the current cashback rate for those categories as well.

        Appreciate the response.

        • No worries at all. Feel free to reach out directly if you have any concerns.

  • +1

Cannot have Amazon credit apply kills the deal :(

    • +1

Hi. Been like this since day one unfortunately. Note Amazon credit is different to gift card use.

      • So if you've pre-loaded your account with gift card dollars, that's different to credit?

        • +2

100%. Gift card balance is totally fine to use. It's any Amazon credit that's not ok (such as what you get when you buy a GC and they bonus you $xx Amazon credit etc).

          • @tightarse: Can you still be elligible for the 15% cashback but just not the $5? Could you clarify on the 15% cashback? Is it for all tiers?

            • @PeeDee: Hi. It's "up to" 15% cashback capped at $30 (see here). And yes of course you're still eligible, as the $5 is a bonus on top of the cashback rates. Thanks.

          • @tightarse: I pre-load my amazon account with 100 dollar, bought something for 70 dollars, item is faulty, returned the item and got refund, account balance becomes 100 dollar again. Then bought an 100 dollar item via Cashrewards. Will this 100 dollar item eligible for cashback?

  • Is anyone else getting a “403 ERROR

The request could not be satisfied.

Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner.”

When trying to go to the cash rewards site?

    • Hi. Do you have VPN disabled, and do you have the latest version of the App installed?

      • No VPN, and not the app.. the browser version

        • Not seen this error before. Do you have uBlock/Pi-hole enabled perhaps? Please try tethering to 4G/5G to eliminate wifi/router issue. Failing that, please try an incognito browser and/or the app on a mobile with wifi off. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!

    • You're not using Starlink by any chance, are you? I've never had the 403 error with Amazon, but when we first changed over to Starlink (from our crappy FW NBN), several websites would throw this error - Australia Post was one, Myer was another. It's something to do with CloudFront, judging by the error message we would get. It didn't matter what we tried or what device we used, we couldn't access those websites at all if connected to Starlink, but had no problems if connected to mobile data.

The issue would self resolve for a day or so, then come back. I opened a ticket with Starlink, and had messages going back and forth, then suddenly the issue disappeared and no problems since. It seemed to be some sort of IP address/geoblock problem, as one website - Antler - would immediately redirect to the US site, even if I typed in the .com.au web address, again on all devices but wouldn't do it when on mobile data.

  • -1

    Cheers op, spent my $50

  • Bonus is ineligible on the following:

    1. Purchase of vouchers, gift cards, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals.
  • +1

    ineligible:
Items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list.

    really?

    • yeah thats ridiculous

    • Presumably it messes with the tracking somehow, maybe how it's added to the cart?

I believe eBay has a similar thing.

  • 14. The first (new) Subscribe & Save order. Subsequent orders are ineligible.

Regarding subscribe and save, I always cancel the subscription after receiving my purchase. For example I subscribe for toothbrush heads, receive the purchase, cancel the subscription. If I subscribe to toothbrush heads today, would I be eligible for cash back (considering I have purchased this before)? Thanks!

    • Yep, previously cancelled S&S are fine.

  • How do I tell exactly what category an amazon item is in?
Ausclimate Cool Seasons Premium 10L Desiccant Dehumidifier - AU1910DD https://amzn.asia/d/gMgtGj7

When I manually searched for this item, it filters and suggesting it is in heating, cooling - but is that a subcategory to ‘Home’?

    • Hi. According to my comment here, it should fall under Home. So 15% cashback capped at $30.

  • Thanks TA

  • What's the best method for ensuring cashback? Open individual items in multiple tabs, go to cashrewards, then add each item to cart from each individual tab, or is that too risky and better to use the one tab from cashrewards only? (To make $50 I need to add a few items, and already added items don't count)

    • as soon as you go to the tab you are now out of the cashrewards link you clicked through. Might be better to jot down the info on paper and add them manually that way?

  • Does this go with the 15% cashback?

eg - Spend $100 get back $5 and $15 cashrewards?

    • Please see here.

      • great & thanks. Got lost in all the comments.

    • Yep. A lot of the 0% categories have been upsized which is very nice, SB and TC have done the same.

Note though that it's up to 15%, different categories have different rates.

  • Thanks TA. Placed order.

  • +1

Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.

So not valid if purchased in Amazon mobile app - the app will launch after clicking from CR on mobile browser ?

    • +1

The Amazon app launches on Android too when you click from the cash rewards app so assuming it will all be fine.

I haven't got tracking yet from yesterday so hoping it comes through soon.

  • What is the difference between amazon credit and Amazon gift cards?

    • This may help :)

  • +1

Are nappies eligible? I know it's excluded from the baby category…

    • +1

Yep, 100% eligible. Reason that the Baby category states they are ineligible is because Amazon generally classifies them as Health & Household. So during this promo only, you'll get 0.8% cashback from that category plus the $5 bonus if you spend $50 or more. Hope this helps :)

      • Amazing thanks TA.

        • Pleasure :)

  • I noticed many items on Amazon have $5 off promo code you can apply (which will become ineligible for cashback)

  • A general question for all similar deals -

The first (new) Subscribe & Save order. Subsequent orders are ineligible.

does it mean the first S&S item after activation of the deal or the first ever S&S order on an Amazon account?

Also, what if I had previously S&S and cancelled, if I S&S the same item again would that count as new S&S?(this has been answered above but would appreciate if TA can confirm)

    Thanks! TA in advance

    • +1

Hi. It means the first order of a S&S purchase. Even if you've availed of it previously and cancelled, then the first order of a new S&S purchase of the same product will be OK for cashback & bonus. Hope this helps :)

  • @tightarse hi TA, just wondering if part of the transaction has items that are ineligible for the bonus but the ones that are eligible are over $50, will I still get the bonus?

  • Made one transaction that Amazon split on 2 separate orders that in sum over 50, but each is cheaper than 50. Is it still valid for this promo?

  • If you do S & S, can you add items with normal purchase to make it $50? Seems like S & S is a separate purchase and you cannot add more items in cart.

    • Add all items to cart without S&S and go to cart, you can see S&S option.

  • The bonus is now activated and pending in your account.
It will be approved once terms of the offer are met.

    Up to 15% cashback

  • what to dubscribe first time hmm ?

  • How long does it take for the cash back to track?

  • +3

Hi guys. Amazon tracking is starting to filter through now for yesterday's sales (10/10/23). Note that transactions report to Cashrewards based on category (once tracking for one entire category in complete, it moves onto the next one). So if you made an order with multiple items from different categories, you’ll need to be patient until the others track later. Due to the enormous size of the transactional report, this will take most of the day to complete. Thank you :)

    • Tracked!
Order was $53.54, tracked email is $48.67. Hopefully it still qualifies!

      • Please read dot point 3 in the OP. You're good to go, as Amazon reports ex-GST :)

        • Perfect thanks mate!

  • I had 3 items in cart and ordered together. However can see 2 of them with same delivery date is one delivery date and other item is later. Can see they have different order ids too due to which cashrewards bonus is not tracked. Not sure if this is expected.

    • Similar issue here. 3 items in one transaction totally over $70 but only $44.49 tracked. They have different delivery dates.

    • Can see bonus tracked now.

  • Anybody else have your cashback tracked but no bonus yet?

    • Hi. There is no tracking email sent for the $5 bonus. It appears in your My Rewards once activated and will move to approved once the Amazon transaction is approved. Can you please check and confirm you see it. Should look something like this. Thanks.

  • Thank you. Saw that. Original amount tracked. Tracked as two seperate transactions.

  • First time in a long time my amazon order hasn't been tracked. Ticket created.
