  • Hmm. Didn't know that Eee PC 900 has 30GB hard disk…

  • Would stay away from non-Atom netbook. good price though

    • whats "Atom" ?

      • Atom is an Intel CPU specifically design for these type of ultraportable electronics, gives good performance vs power consumption.

        • cheers!

  • Atom + SSD are the way to go. Or else it sorta defeats the purpose of getting a sub-notebook.

  • There is no 30gb Solid state disk EEE 900. There's a 20gb SSD one, and a new one with a standard 30gb HDD. So either the 30gb is a typo or the Flash Drive/Shock Proof Mobility bit on their website is…

Too bad, if it did have a 30 gb SSD I'd have bought one.

    • This is the uncommon 900HD and the 30GB hdd is correct. The most recent update to this is the 900HA (atom, 160GB hdd) for $499 at myer. If you want SSD the 900A has slow 8GB, but aftermarket 32GB is around $150 from mydidigitaldiscount.com

      • Indeed there has been a few updated models. I also saw on ShoppingSquare of the old "701" model but with model number 701SD (product page here). It has 8GB SSD instead of 4GB like the original 701.

  • For $100 more at Myer I'd definately go the newer atom/160 HD one over this.
