  • Thanks. Just grabbed one to switch up from my G402. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

you're gonna love it, using one atm. so comfortable

      • Agree. I got the wireless and it's good for work and play

    • I like mine and I came from a G402 (and used the same logitech legacy mice that had the same shape for 15 years). I definitely prefer the Razer now, feels better, more comfy to hold and use for long periods. I got the wireless variant and definitely recommend that over wired if possible, but i'd still pick the deathadder ovre the G402 if both wired

    • I have the old old one from 2012, really light and comfortable to use. Have the G502 now and I prefer the old Deathadder.

this is a great deal, although this mouse isn't for me, my hand measured 18.5cm from palm to middle finger, and I feel this mouse is too big for me to grip onto, and I struggle to hold it tightly while playing shooter game. I think this mouse will fit those who like to rest their hand nice and soft on the mouse.

  • My scroll wheel on a death adder essential has died after just a few months. Anyone know if this uses the same mechanism?

    • I had one of these for around 2 years, and worked perfectly.. unfortunately the rubber on the side degraded so I upgraded, but I didn't have any problems with the scroll wheel.

very good mouse for casual gamers would recommend for them, but competitive games it's too big for me and the "infused" side grips are very bad compared to the first gen ones (although they had the issue of falling off over time), my hand keeps slipping. I have the v2 pros. also rgb won't work without the razer bloatware running in the background but who cares about mouse rbg when your hand is covering it anyways haha

you cannot fingertip this well, claw and palm mostly. 18x10cm hand

  • Can I use with excel ? What surface does it work best on ?

    • +1

Razer makes mouse pads which are designed for their own gaming mice.

This is one. That's the surface which it would work best on. And yes before you say this mouse pad costs almost as much as this mouse itself factoring in the discount coupon.

I actually got this because I spend a lot my time in Excel, and it’s one of the cheaper mice with memory, which means I can map the ctrl and shift keys without having to install software on a work machine.

It meets those needs, however the actual software I had to install onto my non-work machine to program it is absolute trash.

      • I guess a gaming mouse has a better tracking sensor which helps in those tasks.

Yeah and it seems the Deathadder v2 mouse has an inbuilt memory which can store 5 profile configurations.

The trash software you're talking about might be the Razer Synapse software.

  • I'm still using my Razer Deathadder Elite mouse which i got a few years ago.

  • I bought the original DeathAdder mouse about 16 years ago. It's served me well but is starting to slip now. Someouse clicks don't register. This will be a nice replacement. Hopefully for another 15 years.

  • Is this the one with the optical mouse clicks? Does it have the double clicking issue like the original

  • I’ve been looking at this one for a little while.
Looks like I might go ahead with this one.
    Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP. I need a new mouse for work

  • Looks like it's $39 now :/

      • ah silly me… thank you sir.

  • was hesitating whether to get another mouse or not, by the time I pulled the trigger, it's Out Of Stock :(

  • This is $88 at Harvey Norman. Extremely over priced to the point of ridiculous. What a joke from HN!.

    Makes this deal a bargain.
