you need to clarify that the dead you talk about are /were REAL victims of covid, not IMAGINARY victims of the vaccines.
Agendas have consequences and false flags need to be called out

        • +1

          thats what im saying…

i guess the antivaxxers cant figure out nuance

      • +5

Covid deaths were Covid-associated, not actually caused by Covid.

Most deaths associated to Covid were just people with late stage dementia, cancer and heart disease. The Federal Government walked back those claims a long time ago now after the health authorities asked them to stop spreading misinformation about Covid to the public.

The old "Covid Deaths" section in the official government Covid tracking system and website were re-named "Covid 19 Associated Deaths" quite some time ago. They've also added this disclaimer underneath that revised headline, everywhere the headline is used:

Factors such as other disease or chronic conditions may also have contributed to or caused deaths associated with COVID-19

        https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/weekly-repo…

        • +1

most people who died from COVID had other diseases or chronic conditions, why does this make COVID "fake"? Why does this mean they didn't die from COVID?

How many people do you think there are over 60 that don't have other diseases or chronic conditions? It sounds like you are saying COVID only kills people who aren't 100% healthy so it doesn't matter.

          • -1

@greatlamp: Why are you spreading conspiracy theories that Covid doesn't exist ?

            • @infinite: You aren't actually concerned about vaccines, you were a troll all along?

              • @greatlamp: Why do you persistently act like a science denier ?

                • -1

@infinite: You have either being trolling all along, or you are now trolling because you are trying to attack me.

Why not address the point I put to you? Are you familiar with the saying "the straw that broke the camels back"?

If both COVID and pre-existing chronic health disease together lead to death in a patient then the death is caused by both factors. Do you actually not understand this on your own? Or did you copy your point from some morons twitter without thinking it through, and now you are embarrassed?

                  • -1

@greatlamp: You comments are so unhinged you sound like your about 9 boosters deep.

How are you attacking people while also making up nonsense like Covid isn't real?

      • +2

Provide stats the vaccine saved you from COVID and not your immune system.

Provide stats the dead didn't die from the vaccine instead of COVID, as we all know now those were lies.

Keep talking rubbish. Learn to research before writing the same verbal poo from the last 2-3 years.

We're in 2023, STOP ACTING LIKE A BOT. What you have said has already been disproven!!!

    • +9

That's because unlike an actual vaccine, the Covid shots & boosters don't prevent you from catching or spreading Covid. They simply have a marketing claim associated with them that they may reduce your likelihood of suffering from the worst of the Covid side effects, should you suffer them, assuming you even know you have it or have any effects at all.

      • +9

They started out with far bolder claims, 'you won't catch covid', 'you won't spread covid' etc

and slowly backed away until we got to where we are now…

The vaccine does basically nothing… 'might reduce your symptoms a bit… IF you catch covid in the next couple months'

        • -1

I thought the vaccine reduces your viral load as well, making you less contagious as you mount an immune response faster since you already built the blueprints how to kill the virus. - Uncertain if vaccine does basically nothing - i think the idea is your body is quicker to act before the virus multiplies and gets out of control in a small percentage of people. I suppose its like the flu vaccine, less likely to end up with pneumonia or hospitalised if your at risk, old or just unluckly. Covid vaccine along with antivirals/monoclonal antibodies saved alot of people.

          • -2

@sardines: So in the non vaccinated champions world more sicker ppl, sicker and fully contagious for longer in the community is a good thing to them Bodies piled high like peak covid is the solution apparently, because they sure as hell won't isolate, restrict movement, accept lockdowns or restrict travel, Morons with no idea.

        • source on those claims? because it was purely marketed as any other vaccine, with the same expected risks and disclosures and no guarantees of working 100%

in all these cases, the point is probabalistic. taking the vaccine in lieu of any other solution (lockdown didnt work because govt handing out free money wasnt enough for people to stay home), and knowing that its never a 100% chance of working. thats not how medicine works.

it merely increases your chances at survival/resistance.

it also doesnt have to be 100% perfect in solution or be free of sideeffects

otherwise we literally wont have things like cars, which are full of flaws, 25% efficient and full of deadly sideeffects from accidents and polution.

society doesnt need a perfect solution to use it. Yet all this nitpicking over both completely false data and data merely proving statistical odds is somehow evidence that the vaccine should not be taken.

if you dont want to cooperate with the rest of society, go rise up with the rest of the antivaxxers and invade an island and form a new country where nobody takes vaccines. See how long before everyone catches measles

        • That is a retelling of history lol.

We didn’t just “back away from claims.” A totally different variant emerged.

It quite seemed you would not catch or spread Covid-19 alpha variant, and indeed, that variant has basically left circulation.

It’s quite fair to say the statement was true for the context of the particular strain that was circulating then, and it remains true now. We simply have a different virus circulating now.

          • +1

@haemolysis: They absolutely started off making that claim to health authorities, governments and the population.

You'd need to be a misinformation spreader to be claiming otherwise.

            • -3

@infinite: I’m not claiming otherwise, you’re just missing the point.

Yes: we absolutely did make the claim that Covid vaccines have near 100% efficacy in catching and spreading Covid Wuhan variant and then even for alpha.

              They were.

We now have, delta, omicron, XBB variant..

Times change lol. Why so hard to grasp.

        • No debating that.

  • +4

    I got zero.
    Had "covid" twice.
    Felt like a flu.
    No regrets.

I realise lots of people had no choice.
My circumstance was that my work needed me more than letting me go over blackmail.

    • There is always a choice, but are you willing to accept the consequences of that choice?

      • Word games.

If you're a victim of armed robbery, did you 'choose' to give your wallet to the perpetrator, or were you forced?

        • -1

          Not a valid comparison.

          • @Spamazon: Still waiting Spamazon, why is it not a valid comparison?

    • -3

I'm a healthcare worker. My circumstances were that I couldn't safely do my job without the vaccine and I'm not so self-important that I believe I was forced into anything.

      • +2

I'm a healthcare worker. My circumstances were that I couldn't safely do my job without the vaccine

What has been your experience taking 3 shots so far?

Did you notice any adverse events after each one? Anything unusual health issues post jabs? Can you compare what your health was like pre-2020 to now?

      • +2

As a patient and high risk person - thank you to all the health workers that worked through such an unpredictable time.

      • -1

How did the clot shot provide you with any level of safety, being that it neither stopped you from catching or spreading Covid ?

        • It might be shocking to hear that vaccines help reduce the severity of the symptoms.

          • +1

@Gehirn: They MIGHT reduce the level of severity in SOME people……….

For a condition that is so mild, you need to test yourself to know if you even have it…………..

With test kits that can't even reliably confirm or deny you having it………..

            • -1

@infinite: Yes, not everything is 100% guaranteed. That is true in all of medicine, surgeries, tests, etc.

For a condition that is so mild in SOME people……….

      • To argue the point, you can be forced into something that is good for you, or society.

  • +3

Should change the poll to who has had heart/breathing issues after the jab.

  • I wear a hat because it keeps the elephants away, it clearly works because you don't see any elephants around do you?

Most recently needed the 4th last year as it was a requirement to be vaccinated within a month before entering France.

In 1949 Dr. Antonio Moniz received the Nobel Prize for medicine, for the invention of lobotomy.

    “The science was settled.”

Hundreds of thousands of lives were destroyed with this cruel unscientific procedure, with horrifying results.

The same people who support this gene-therapy would have supported lobotomy and everything else they got wrong.

    • +1

Gene therapy deactivates disease causing genes. The covid vaccine is a vaccine. Not a gene therapy.

And how many Nobel prizes have been given for treatments that cured or managed disease?

      • -1

Okay, so you're saying you know better than the inventor of the technology?

The inventor of mRNA tech says it's gene therapy, you're saying it's not?

I know who I am listening to.

        • Which inventor would that be?

        • +3

I know who I am listening to.

The guy that claims he's the inventor, despite his fellow scientific partners in the subsequent research and all downstream researchers not claiming he's "the inventor".
The guy that has had nothing to do with mRNA developments or innovations that occurred in the decades since its initial research
The guy whose research clearly build on prior mRNA (non medicinal use) research prior..

          that inventor of mRNA tech?

Do you ignore all other mRNA researchers opinions on whether that may have built on top of prior or existing mRNA work in the decades since ?
No no no, because that would be cherry picking :)

Seems like the reasonable critical thinking end result.

Was he part of mRNA development history? absolutely. no doubt.
Is he the gospel word of truth for all things mRNA. Clearly no rational review could arrive at this point. Theres been decades of more advanced research and development on top of his initial paper scribblings and subsequent research.
Perhaps he just found a way to garner more attention for himself and earn a few more bucks by being the voice of 'opposition' and therefore being the spokesperson for all those against, and those that grab onto his 'inventor of mRNA' and the things he say, clearly ignore any discussion from other mRNA researchers/scientists/inventors/patent holders because they dont align with their existing trains of thought.

Its the absolutist all or nothing stance I do truly love. Got to at least give credit for consistency of unwavering bell curve location

        • -1

It's not a gene therapy though.

The mRNA doesn't enter the cell nucleus, or alter the cell's DNA in any way.

          At least in theory ;)

      • +1

Ah, that makes lobotomy okay, you so far missed the point, it's not funny.

        • +1

Not at all, I just thought you were being highly selective to support your view. Lobotomies are not practiced anymore.

          • +10

@MessyG: This thread would indicate it's still practised.

            • @Protractor: Good one. How come you can’t answer my question…

Have you had your full set of boosters?

              • @Cusack: There's no room in your body for vaccine that's for sure. You are full (of 'it)
You can't even read & comprehend the Pfizer link you depended on.

          • +1

@MessyG: That's an example of how people accepted the science, and they won an award for it, just like what's happening now:

            https://twitter.com/RWMaloneMD/status/1708826762816155808

            • +1

@RocketSwitch: Except the difference is that the practice ultimately stopped. Unlike all the other many many Nobel prizes for medicine that continue to be used today. Which en masse, goes against your point.

  • +2

Came to see who else is still drinking the coolaid on the fake vaccine. Those who took better live their lives to fullest.

It’s easier to double down than to admit they’ve been scammed.

Remember when doctors came with research saying smoking cigarettes was safe? Then it turned out they were paid.

They would never ever do that again right

    • +3

Remember when it was doctors (Australian too) who ultimately proved it wasn't safe and went up against the cigarette companies despite death threats and expensive lawyering and are one of the main reasons we have far better cigarette controls than most other countries? Remember that?

      • +4

Are you saying it's all a scam and then later doctors (Australian too) will prove it wasn't safe?

        • +1

          That’s exactly what he’s saying.

Probably without realising it too. Lol

      • +2

Remember when eating pizza with your three other mates in the sewers mutated you and your mates into ninjas turtles?

Remember when the TMNT meet Scooby Doo! They would never do that again would they….

          Remember that?

          • +1

@sardines: No but Scooby Doo meeting Johnny Bravo was a great crossover episode

      • That's an excellent parallel example to now, where over 500 Australian doctors, specialists and surgeons have been campaigning for a full Royal Commission with powers to refer for prosecution, into the suffering and deaths caused by the vaxx's and lockdowns that led to (in their own words) the worst medical disaster in Australian history.

            The only question is>
Why would idiots trust antivax (any rightwing) conspiracy?

Why would idiots trust antivax (any rightwing) conspiracy?

              What makes this "right wing"?

The covid vaccine sceptics are a different breed from those who says vaccines cause autism.

              • +2

@deme: Because it's easier to strawman arguments by throwing out buzz words like "right wing" or "anti-vax" than it is to consider having been misled or just being plain wrong

                • @GoIdDigger: I loved the images in the news of the freedom rallies in 2021. A square chock full of asians and browns, and the headline reads something about far right white supremacists.

  • Does anyone remember where the meme about 5G and covid vaccines started?

    • It was a ten minute talk by Tom Cowan back around March 2020.

      https://www.bitchute.com/video/XV4nqpXf4s71/

It was brilliant. It went viral. Seen by tens of millions of people, at least. Then it was targeted & censored & reams of propaganda calling it misinformation flooded the net.

Cowan is on the right track with his work.

      • What's the TL;DR?

        • +1

          Humanity is being poisoned.

        • Mr Dean is a big fan of Covid 19 vaccines + 5G is leading to the end of humanity.

Not sure what he, and his cohort, are going to do when 6G starts appearing.

          It could be horrific.

          • +1

            @jackspratt:

are going to do when 6G starts appearing.

Next gen wireless tech (5g & up) are not being rolled out for humans. It is being rolled out for machines & AI. Data gathering, monitoring, IoT/B, WBAN, Geofencing, & many more such applications.

The benefit to humans is being touted as……..downloading a movie in 3 seconds……lol.

            • @mrdean: I'll bite, how does 5G hurt humans?

  • +2

Had 2 jabs, then caught covid last year on the way back from Europe. Didn't know I had it, partner also got it and was only a little sick for a couple days, I was completely asymptomatic.

Guess the jab did it's job. Haven't had any issues.

    • +1

You'll never know as you didnt test yourself without it!

      • +4

It goes both ways. Maybe they would have died without it. The reality is, everyone had a choice (kind of). Don't try and justify your decision to others. My partner was fully vaxxed and copped it hard. She could barely breath and had to be put on a ventilator. The hospital said she would not have made it had she not have gotten the vaccine. Yes, there's no denying that there were side effects and some people were even effected by complications but that's just the reality of any vaccine.
