will the build quality be good with cable management???

      • No, you can do it yourself.

      • Friend got one. Very tidy. Not many cables to manage but they’re all tucked away very clean.

  • Thinking of recommending to a friend for I guess pretty light gaming. Would it be fine for 1080p med/high?

Havent heard that great stuff about the 3060s, but 12gb vram seems pretty great

what other than CC payment methods?

    • -1

how to check out with out CC?

  • +1

This is a great deal for anyone wanting to game at 1080. 3060 is more than capable at pushing 60+ fps.

  • Would this be suitable for sim racing?

    Games iracing, f1, assetto corsa

    • Yeah I'd say this should be okay, especially single screen @ 1080p. I know a few of the recent iracing tracks will absolutely tank your fps without playing around with settings though when comparing to the older tracks

    • my housemate has this card on a steambox pc setup hooked up to a tv (Project Cars 3/Grid Legends), good framerates

  • Could someone enlighten me if this spec is good for 3D rendering? I need to use Autocad and Revit for 3D modelling rendering and want to know if this is enough or should I up my budget. Thank you

    • +2

I’ve really struggled to find reviews that mention components affect on CAD. It can be rather frustrating.

The best I can gather is that anything will run CAD, and that how miserable an experience it will be will depend on how complex your model is.

So this is probably decent for starters. Worth checking if Autocad or Revit benefit from any GPU acceleration. Otherwise faster CPU cores (not more cores) and RAM are the biggest difference makers.

      • Thank you. Will keep this in mind when looking at specs

      • +4

For Autocad.. you can run that on anything. The PC above looks ok but the videocard is a little overkill as a faster CPU with more ram would be better

For Revit.. we run all models fine on intel i5 8400/AMD Ryzen 5600 6 core CPU's with GeForce GTX 1050 2GB cards. Some large Revit models.. "Amazon Warehouse jobs" have needed at least 32GB's or System ram otherwise Revit would crash to desktop…

32GB system memory is a minimum although I've had no issues with 16Gbs for past 12 months. - Windows 10 or 11 work fine.. a rock solid stable PC is what you want the most.. redoing unsaved work is the worst .. we use both local models and BIM collaborate pro online models when we share with offshore outsourcing companies.. fast internet helps if working from home via Anydesk or Splashtop

Been working as a CADy for 24 years :) haha

      • Awesome! Appreciate you sharing, it’s very helpful!
Do you have any experience with fusion360 or rhino? Any tidbits?
        Thanks in advance :D

  • Any one know how to checkout with afterpay??????

  • please do the same with a 5600 and RX 6600

  • Legit drowning in super upvoted pc deals at the moment, what’s the best value $1k gaming rig at the moment?

    • +3

      there was one with a 5600 + RTX 3070

    • +7

You sound like a nightmare customer…

      • -7

you probably are but I am not.

  • and we've managed to slide it in under $700

For that kind of money you really shouldn't have to share.. unless of course that's your thing.

  • +1

I remember when you were getting a great deal paying $699 for the GTX3060 12GB by itself

    • +13

People on Facebook marketplace also remember this and are refusing to forget.

  • is a bronze PSU fine, or should I be looking for a deal with the option to upgrade to a gold one?

    • +1

not worth the upgrade.. may as well buy you own later on and replace it if you need something better

  • It’s crazy that I spent a little less than this just for the GPU not long ago.

  • Hello, any thoughts on how this system will run CS2?

    • +2

      1080p you’d be fine

    • +2

      More than adequate.

    • +1

      Plenty of grunt for it

  • Would this computer be any good as a regular everyday desktop computer? Or is it too heavily geared towards gaming?

    • +3

Zero difference. It'll just be really fast.

    • A fast gaming PC is great for everything else :).. while idle or during low workload these high end GPU's and CPU's do very little and dont use much power

      • Without me trying to google, what's roughly power usage on idle for say a system like this?

  • It will play Baldur's gate fine?

    • +2

it will play Baldurs gate very well… smooth and butter.. This is a mid range gaming PC

  • +1

    Insane value, a new standard.

  • Any issues with using the PCI-E slot like the other builds?

  • my gpu got fried (on fire) for 4 seconds and my PC turned off. and i got a radeon 6600 on the weekend, for $305 from msy.. how is this so cheap as a whole unit?

old custom unit from 2018 (from ozbargain) ryzen 2600 (started upgrading it out part by part) 750w psu from be quiet (old one got fried), be quiet case (thought it would be quiet, not really), be quiet cpu cooler (again i thought this was the noisy part it wasnt), be quiet case fans, 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram,
whats left from old system that was not upgraded at this point is the asrock tiny motherboard and cpu.. honestly it was prbably cheaper doing a new system purchase nstead of part by part upgrades

    • I hardly ever do parts upgrades. I just build mid range systems which is value for money. In a few years, I do the same.

I suppose you could recycle that RAM and maybe PSU (although it may have caused fire) and case. Otherwise you will need to put ya anti static gloves on.

These days though, you should build a AM5 system if you are keen to upgrade. Or stick to AM4 if you want true value.

Don't believe everything that Joe Rogan has to say…. ;)

  • Does the case light up as shown in the pictures? If so, is it possible to disable the lighting?

  • I'm super keen on this deal but I need a larger/better mobo to accommodate my old accessories, is it possible to get a better motherboard instead of the one it's limited to???

  • A320 (released back in 2017) is an ancient chipset, haven’t seen a 300 series chipset in a new build in a while. Is that a refurbished motherboard ??

  • +1

    Same money, Gaming PC with Ryzen 5 5500, RX 6650 XT, A520, 16GB 3200MHZ RAM, 500GB NVME $699 + Delivery @ Tech Fast

10% fast GPU, more recent MB A520 over the ancient A320 ~ against ~ AMD 8gb DDR6 v's 12gb DDR6 with nVidia and codecs are on par with each other pretty much, neither has AV1.

  • Bit of a stupid question but is it possible to order this unassembled? I love building my own PCs and have built a handful of them in the past so I'm more than confident in doing so but this seems like a pretty good selection of parts for the money compared to buying them seperately.

    • Hi mate.

You can request an unassembled build in your order notes. Just send an email to the sales team at [email protected] once you place the order to confirm.

      Cheers,

      • Does that mean all the components come in the original boxes or do they just get thrown into a one really well packaged box ready to assemble?

        • Will be all original boxes, packed into larger boxes.

          • @luketechfast: And one last question, sorry for bothering you, is there any further discounts for requesting it unassembled? edit: also will the motherboard support the CPU out of the box without the need for a BIOS update?

  • Is there a PayPal option to pay?

  • Will this be any good with latest games, such as Cyberpunk and the upcoming GTA 6?

    • +1

This is just about the cheapest possible gaming machine that can be built.

If you want to play the very newest titles then look at the middle of the market, not the bottom 👍

      • Thanks. What budget are we talking about here?

  • Admittedly knowing nothing about which machine to buy, is this deal, or this one here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/800109 the better option/value? Or is there a better alternate for this money?
