Techfasttt rusty eh? Price in title! :p

  • Hi @luketechfast nice deal! Do you have any silent cases available to upgrade to? Thanks

  • Does this pc have Bluetooth built in or would we need to purchase a Bluetooth adapter?

    • I dont see any mention of wifi or bluetooth in the specs for the Gigabyte B650M - K
So I would suggest an adaptor needed

    • +1

"AMD B650 motherboard compatible with AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. 4-DIMM DDR5 (RAM) slots. Features two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 inputs, GbE LAN. Does not feature on-board WiFi. A second PCIE device (e.g. network card, installed post-purchase) will not fit with RTX 3070 graphics cards and above."

      • I'm pretty dense. Does no on-board wifi also mean it won't have Bluetooth?

        • nope

        • +1

No as WiFi and BT are together for motherboards

          • @Freddies: Fyi have a the 650m-atx with the 4080, wifi card fits with about 1cm of space from the fan. Idk if all will but i just went with a tp-link tx55e ax3000. Even the part it it sits under is maybe 10% of the left fan. Very highly doubt it will impact airflow.

    @luketechfast

These deals are getting out of hand

2 days ago, we got a "limited run" deal with all the urgency flags like falling AUD, suppliers jacking prices etc

Now 2 days later, you have this deal with upgraded AM5 board + AM5 CPU + DDR5 for exactly the same price

There is already a perception from some quarters that the stock configs plus upgrade pricing being offered by TechFast are increasingly suspect

Appreciate the deals you offer to the community, the sharp pricing etc but take a look at the timing and volume of these deals

    • +2

What's the issue exactly? If they're still offering the cheapest budget pcs and get better pricing a couple weeks later, offering a PC like today, what's the issue?
What's the alternative too? Sit on old stock that they purchased at a higher price or combo out with a high powered gpu, which tbh, is perfect for most gamers.

TechFast are still the kings for high powered pcs at budget pricing.

      • -3

Dude commented shit on every post of Techfast anyway. Just ignore it mate.

        • @Shaunzki: regarding 'TechFast are still the kings for high powered pcs at budget pricing'…

@ mid-range & high-end systems, TF don't dominate this market. The proportion of tech-savvy buyers increase compare to low-end systems, eg 3060Ti. These buyers are willing to pay more & have wide-preferences…more than 'budget pricing'.

Proof: read the comments @ their deals & they are selling.

I am still looking to grab a good deal.
I don't mind the regular posts as hopefully it will generate more (better) offers from competitors!

If it doesn't interest you, you don't have to click and open the link.

I'm on the market for a 4070/4070ti, do techfast sell individual components?

  • +1

@luketechfast do you have more stock of the Antec P20C Case? It’s showing as out of stock when adding to cart. Thank you.

This looks like a great deal and I'm tempted to get this for my son, but very concerned about support - I've read the terms and conditions and it doesn't look great:
1 year warranty only - how does this work when statutory is 2 years and most components are 2+ years e.g. PNY 4070Ti is 3 years according to Scorptec?(https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/nvidia/10…)
If a component fails, whether it is DOA or later, I have to allow at least 14 days for Techfast to have it looked at after I send the fault component back to them (if they approve the return) - how long for actual replacement/repair?
If it's not an obvious component fault or an intermittent fault, how do I get the system diagnosed?
Do I treat this as a system or a bunch of components all with individual warranties that I have to then chase up with Techfast and/or OEM?
What is the typical support experience with Techfast?

    • Typical if it last for a year, it will last for several years afterwards, unless you make changes to it.
I don't know how good the return process is (for DOA) with Techfast.

    • I've never had a problem with the system I bought from Techfast. Component failure and DOA is extremely rare that said Techfast have always communicated well with any of my orders. Their prices are really competitive.

The only other option is build a similar system from local parts instead for a couple hundred more $$.

      • +1

I have found Techfast support fantastic. Very good with communication

    • statutory is 2 years

There is no such thing (2 years.) See https://www.accc.gov.au/system/files/Warranties%20and%20refu…

      most components are 2+ years

I would assume/hope that if a part has a longer manufacturer warranty then TF would be happy to help if it failed after a year.

Any chance for a 4080 build under 2K?

    • that sounds very unlikely considering 4080RTX is around 1700+ for consumer.

Then you have to add in every other part. I dont think it will be less than 2000, unless there is a sell of 4080 to push it under 1400 or something which i dont see happening at all. NV has no reason to drop price on 4080/4090 when there is hardly any competition for them.

    • Probably in October…2024.

    • Unlikely. Not anytime soon.

  • Anyone know if Starfield is included with an upgrade to the R7 7700?

    Nice…$220 cheaper than NebularPC-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/798731

    1.Any thoughts on whether a low-tier B650 Mobo with weak-VRM ('Gigabyte B650M-K or equivalent') will limit a R5 7500F with 2x16Gb DDR5 6000MHZ, and a CPU-tower-cooler ?

2.The above CPU is claimed to be almost-as-fast as R5-7600 but established-reviewers such as TechPowerup & TechSpot have yet do a full-review…are you convinced ?

    Thanks

    • +1

If you are expecting R5-7500F to be 'almost-as-fast' R5-7600, may be wait as their reviews are IN-conclusive….new-CPU & UN-proven.

In the link below, we see that a R5-7600X is only slightly stronger than R7-5700X & way-below i5-13600K…seems strange.
      https://benchmarks.ul.com/compare/best-cpus?amount=0&sortBy=…

Any IT-guru care to comment ?

Any R5-7500F owners, pls share your actual system performance, ideally with benchmark-results & equivalent CPU performance ?

      Thanks in advance.

        https://www.notebookcheck.net/Budget-Ryzen-5-7500F-beats-Cor….

        Ryzen 5 7500F gaming performance
        • Per Quasarzone’s gaming benchmarks at FHD, the Ryzen 5 7500F is, on average, only 2.4% slower than the Ryzen 5 7600 across the 10 games tested. Compared to the Ryzen 5 7600X, the Ryzen 5 7500F shows a 6% lower average FPS. Moreover, the Ryzen 5 7500F’s lead over the Zen 3 Ryzen 5 5600X is a respectable 14%.

        • The Ryzen 5 7500F also showcases strong performance vs the competing Intel parts. It is 9% faster than the Core i5-13500, 13.3% ahead of the Core i5-13400, and 17% more performant on average vs the Core i5-12400.

In short, the Ryzen 5 7500F is an impressive budget CPU for gaming, as it not only performs roughly the same as the more expensive Ryzen 5 7600, but also comfortably beats the rival Intel Core i5-13500 and the Core i5-13400 while costing less.

        Ryzen 5 7500F productivity performance
        • The Ryzen 5 7500F also matches the Rysen 5 7600 in productivity workloads. Quasarzone’s Cinebench R23 benchmarks show that the Ryzen 5 7500F is on par with the Ryzen 5 7600 while being 29.4% faster than the Ryzen 5 5600X.

        • Since the Core i5-13500 packs 14 cores, the Ryzen 5 7500F lags behind the Intel chip by 11% in Cinebench R23. That said, the Ryzen 5 7500F performs on par with the 10-core Core i5-13400 and 17% faster vs the 6-core Core i5-12400.

  • What about this deal but downgrading graphics to 4070?

  • Am I missing something or is this actually a really good deal?

    • It is, for a 4070 Ti! If you need it.

  • I tried the promo code, but the price didn't change

Sigh… just took delivery of R5 5700x deal for same price today
    damn it.

    • Where did you get it from and how long was the wait?

    • Pls share brand & model # for all parts.

      Your deal is ok.

  • Pulled trigger on this. Thx

    • Annnd got my pc, all working.

  • Assuming abyone using this would be plating in 4K. Looks like bottleneck central for any lower resolution.

Also, according to Hardware Unboxed, AM5 CPU's run optimally with 6000Mhz RAM.

Just something to look into if you are considering this.

    • Hey im looking at this deal, mainly always been a console player.

I would be playing on a 4k 32inch monitor. However i know this card wont give me high frame in 4k so i was planning on playing 1440 120 but you bottleneck for lower resolutions? Why is that? Sorry id the question is stupid im not that knowledgeable with pcs.

  • Hey Luke,

I really like this build but was wondering if there's any options for a MOBO with a PCI-E slot with 5.0 tech in it? Otherwise this is pretty much my ideal build.

    Cheers!

  • Hey Luke. Pretty keen to buy one of these. Just wondering if I move all the components into a case I like can I still get warranty on the internals if anything went wrong (not with moving the bits, in a few years time if something died)

  • Some of these are solid deals & was contemplating multiple as a potential family computer for a while, my only real ask because despite a lot very good value(windows home 11 for 179$ is kind of steep), is it possible to add an option to install windows non activated? For people(like me) that already have a license or are happy acquiring/adding their own key? Windows provide these operating system unnactivated on their website Im pretty sure options exist for 11 & even 10.
Although a capable system no doubt, I suspect many
wont stick to using linux mint, although I do understand its free, which adds to the better pricing.
Is it fair game to ask to add an option -windows home 11(activation required)? Is this a possibility or does it breach certain legal ramifications.

    • +1

If you can acquire a key, then why would you need the vendor to install Windows ?

Just download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and use it to make your own USB installer.

There's zero chance they can legally distribute Windows without licences anyway - that's just blatant copyright infringement.

  • Hey gang, I know nothing about a PC. But would like to play the new CS2. Running a dual 4K 32inch screen. will this be enough? Is this actually a good deal btw?

  • just got this machine delivered today. about 10 days since order. it is superb! blown away by the quality components and build and packaging! this is my first Pre-Built PC in 20 years. i always build my own though a 4070 Ti is nearly as much as this build complete i couldnt say no to that! thank you!
